Ok, I know that Hawaii is known for their beautiful tropical flowers. But I found a picture of the most perfect bouquet on hibiscusflorals.com (which has had some good reviews on here). I love everything about it…from the colors to the exact placement of the orchids and calla lillies. I know I’m very meticulous and worried that the florist won’t be able to duplicate it or get the right colors. Should I just order the bouquet from hibiscus? Or will it look tacky to use a silk bouquet in a tropical paradise?

I think it would be kind of strange but most people won’t even notice. If you like it and don’t want to mess with getting a florist, go for it.

We got our flowers at a great price from a wholesaler in Honolulu.
But, when my parents got married in Hawaii they had silk flowers at their Hawaii reception, and ironically my mom brought real Hawaiian flowers back for their reception with my mom’s family in Washington 🙂 They were both beautiful.

@sweetchiquita12: Your bouquet is beautiful! Do the flowers look real in person? I have the same worries as you about the colors and flowers. Maybe I’m just being too much of a control freak 🙂

@MrsD2Be: Thanks so much! I actaully dont get them until next week but I have read tons of reviews from where I’m getting them from saying no one knew the flowers were fake and I think they look really real in the picture. I’m a very matchy person so I wanted to make sure the flowers matched the bridesmaid dresses exactly and the decor

I stumbled upon this thread and now I am strongly considering a silk bouquet for our weddingmoon. Lovely pieces! 🙂

I think it would be very strange to have a silk bouquet in Hawaii…
BUT I personally love the idea of having the bouquet as a keepsake long after the wedding day… my Maid/Matron of Honor is making a fabric bouquet for me so it has extra sentiment there as well.
Do what you want!!

@MrsD2Be: Most be prob won’t even notice….do you have pics of the one you have in mind?
I had a Destination Wedding in St Thomas and I used a mix of both silk and real. The bridal party and my bouquet were real and the gazebo decor was artificial…..it’ll prob be fine but I’d love to see a pic of what you are thinking!
