I just made mine the other day for my flower girl to carry.  I bought a 5″ styrofoam ball and ended up buying 3 bunches of white flowers.  It takes a lot more than you would guess at first to completely fill the ball.  I ended up buying cheapish flowers from Hobby Lobby only because I didn’t want to spend a fortune.  They do have really nice flowers there though, and they’re 50% off every other week or so.  Other than that it went together really quickly, maybe 30 minutes tops.

I don’t think people will notice! The flowers on those poms blend together because they’re so tightly grouped, so I wouldn’t worry about it!

Look at the post that Mrs. Quiche posted today.  Her pomanders were not real and they looked great.  I think you could make tehm with fakes and it not be a big deal.

Here’s what mine turned out like, got the flowers from Hobby Lobby.  The bunches were 9.99 each and I got them for 50% off.
