I got our silk flowers yesterday! So here’s some pictures of what I got, the bouquets, bouts, corsages & she even made some for all the ceremony seats. We have white folding chairs so I’m thinking maybe I can somehow attach them to the programs.. hmm Oh and these flowers lay down when wetted. So I’m gonna have to do a lot of wetting down, doesn’t look like she did that when she put them together, but just FYI so you’re not like “oohh… uh.. they look.. nice” 😛
My bouquet (Still looking for orange flowers to replace the green ones with. But if all else fails, the green are fine.)
Maybe with programs?

I didn’t want to do flowers at first but I was at Michael’s and Jo-ann’s this weekend and came across silk and natural touch flowers. They have come a long way with these things from my childhood. They look real and some even feel real. So now I am considering doing silk/natural touch flowers for my bouquets too. Where did you get yours?
By the way, yours look great! Good job!!!

I LOVE daisies. I was thinking about incorporating them into my wedding(My FI was the first person a bought a bouquet for and daisies were the choice of flower.) but we decided on. . .Well to be honest I don’t know what they are! They just look like a bunch of colorful, fabulous weeds!

@steviebrooks – Daisies are my fav flower so I knew i had to have them even though my wedding is in October 😛 I wanted to incorporate orange flowers and greenery to make it look more fallish & we decided on silk flowers since I heard they’re hard to get real daisies at this time of year & so I wouldn’t have to worry about flowers after they were all done!
@baldor1 – Thanks! I have no idea where she got them from. I’m thinking a store called Beverly’s maybe? I can check next time I talk to her & let you know 🙂

Your arrangements and bouquets are very pretty! I love daisies, they’re such a friendly flower, don’t you think??? (Meg Ryan in You’ve Got Mail, lol).
I’m really thinking of using silk for my bridal bouquet because I want to recycle the flowers afterwards and make a pretty wreath for our front door. That way I’ll always be reminded of our wedding day every time I come home!

@rlsulli – I would consider ranunculus which I think are what the current green ones are? I found a few possibilities at Joann’s today. FI did not want any roses at all so I agreed 😛
@audzinluv – thanks! And that’s a gread idea about a wreath. Thanks I’ll have to try making one!
