That's funny because my dress is silk satin, and I don't like how shiny it appears in pictures. I love silk mikado- I tried a couple of dresses in this material and I remember loving the way it photographs when I was looking at the pictures online. It looks and feels higher quality to me.
Well that's good. It is a really sturdy and tight knit. Feels like hard denim almost. I love the softness of silk satin though but mikado doesn't snag at least and so my sample dress was in pristine condition. Also it was an unpopular style for that year (yay for having different taste!). I guess I need to take pictures of it in all different lights.

Anyone has this material on their dress? Mine is entirely silk mikado, no beading or anything, and while it's beautiful up close, i'm worried it will be plain at the wedding. Satin photographs really well but my dress might just look like ivory canvas...
