Just wear underwear that you are comfortable with other people seeing as the consultants often help you in and out of the dresses. Most bridal shops have bras that you wear that are appropriate for the dresses you are trying on - longline, strapless, etc.
That's exactly what I wore. It allowed me to get enough of an idea to see what the dresses would look like, even if they didn't fit perfectly without having the correct undergarments.
That's exactly what I wore too.
Just something that you're comfortable other people seeing. I made the mistake at my first appointment of going in with a strapless bra that had some extra padding (which was removable but did I remember to take it out-of course not lol) and it affected how tops of dresses fit a little bit. Not a huge deal but something I made sure not to do at following appointments.
I wore a thong and didnt bring a strapless. hahahaha. I guess I never really thought about it prior to the appointment! I wasnt uncomfortable at all. I am sure they have seen EVERYTHING before!
I wore a nude strapless bra and thong in the same style i'll wear on the wedding day. I'd suggest you wear or bring whatever undergarments you plan on wearing on your special day.
Yes to the strapless bra and boy shorts. No to the thong--these dresses have long zippers and corsets. Be considerate to the consultant who has to zip/lace you into the thing with her head bent over your back end.
You also might want to bring a pair of heels that are easy to slip in and out of
What you are considering wearing is fine. I wore a bra and boy short panties. I would never wear thong underwear to a dress appointment. I don't think the girls that help you into and out of your gown need to see your assets. And I am sure they appreciate when you are somewhat covered.
Just wear light-colored undies (white, nude, whatever) that you feel comfortable having people see. The bridal consultant usually helps you take the dresses on and off. I wouldn't worry too much about what kind of bra to wear just for trying the dresses on. The first place I went provided different style bras for different dresses, and the second place I actually just ended up taking my bra off for the duration because with the corsets/lace-up backs I found I didn't really need one.
I wore exactly what you wore and I was perfectly comfortable and it gave me the best idea of how a dress would actually look on my on my wedding day.
Honestly, I really doubt they get upset when they see some butt cheeks. hahahaha.
once i wore red underwear - oops! I'd stick to white or neurtral color solid. True some places give you a bra to wear when trying them on but others you'll just go without!
Sounds like a great plan. I tried to be conscious of the fact that I wouldn't be well covered at all times.
Smart thinking ahead! I wore blue, and the dresses that I tried on were kind of thin, so it was hard to picture the dress nicely when there was blue showing through!
I agree with cabanagirl9, I can't imagine the salespeople care about seeing some cheeks. They've seen it all and worse I suppose.
And besides, if the shopkeepers are going to follow me around in the racks and insist on lurking over me in the dressing room and act as the photo police gasping and shrieking every time I pull out my blackberry, then I'm going to wear whatever damn underwear I please.

What undergarments did you wear when you went to try on dresses?
I was planning on just wearing boycut white underwear and bringing a strapless bra with me.
Any tips would be great.
Thank you
