@lergx6: I think this is a great idea! Especially at only $50 each. You definitely WILL need a bigger size ring during your pregnancy!

But, if it’s an option, I might wait to buy another one until your current ring doesn’t fit. That way, you can buy the exact size you are at that point. If it’s a thing that comes and goes, might want to get a full size bigger as an extra.

I almost ordered Darling Husband a couple of extra rings because I know he’ll lose his at some point (which is precisely why we chose a $50 ring for him). I don’t think it’s a bad idea to have a spare one on hand. One of my BMs is super athletic (and super forgetful) so she’s already gone through 2 or 3 rings now, although the odd time she finds one she thought she lost and it’s a nice surprise, LOL!

Wow, those rings are gorgeous and unique. I love the idea of buying them in a couple of sizes, and I would go ahead and buy them now to ensure you can get the exact same design. Awesome idea! (I’m more practical than sentimental, too. LOL)

FI’s ring is about $60, and I’m debating buying an extra now, or waiting until he loses the first one.  I think once I start working over the summer and actually have money, I’ll buy an extra 1-2 rings to stow away.  Unfortunately, mine’s not that easy because it was custom-made, so if I ever lose it, I’ll need another one cast.  Luckily the jeweler still has the mold, so I don’t think it would cost the entire amount, but it still won’t be cheap.  When I get pregnant I’ll probably just wear my rings on a necklace or something.

If you do decide to get the extra rings you can bring them with you and tuck them away somewhere so they were at least at your ceremony, maybe they would be more special to you that way.  I know I’m a dork, but I love it!!  I am sentimental.

I thought about doing that for Fiance, too :). I think we’re still going to look for a decently priced gold ring, but we might end up doing the multiple ring thing.
