I am having major drama with my tuxedo and had to change pretty much everything because I refuse to ask the GMs to pay over $160 for their tux.
BMs are wearing navy. Putting the GMs in black tuxedo and silver vest.
But then I realized the BMs are carring ivory flowers, I am wearing ivory so shirt needs to be ivory
Will this look weird with the silver? I know I can go see at tux shop but not sure when I will be able to and it’s heavy on my mind.

The shirt does not need to be ivory. Many a bride wearing ivory has had a groom and groomsmen in white shirts.
I wouldn’t do an ivory shirt with a silver vest.

@julies1949: <– Agreed. Put them in white shirts, they will be far enough away from you that it wont look odd at all, but ivory & silver together would.

I had the dads in silver vests with ivory shirts and it looked fine. I can try to get a hold of a picture if you would like (I’m still waiting on Pro pics but could get some from my mom).

The bouts will be ivory though, does that change things? (DIY, flowers already purchased and made)
@Kari 2012: I would love to see a pic, just for ease of mind!

Go with white shirts. Ivory shirts usually look really yellow, and I don’t think it’ll look good with a silver vest.

My guys wore white shirts, silver vests, and I had an ivory dress. I think there is nothing comparable to a man in a black tux/white shirt, it is crisp, clean and classic. Here’s a photo:

@BrookieCookie9: White shirts ! I have the same colors and i’m changing the shirts ASP …. to white i saw online that the white was barely noticeable on the small amount that shows and it doesn’t make your dress look weird! i am keeping Fiance in an ivory vest that way he complements my dress

I vote white shirts too. I don’t think the ivory would look as good with the silver vests as white does.

white shirts! I will be in ivory but refuse to put my guys in ivory shirts. While my dress does not look one bit yellow, the shirts sure do.

Thanks everyone. White it is!

how about black shirts
MY groom is doing a black shirt with a black tux and silver vest and tie.
we are also doing a very light silver so that is partially why.

White shirts! I wore a ivory dress and my husband (and GM) wore white shirts, and it looked good. Honestly, you actually couldn’t tell the difference between my dress and their shirts that much.
