Hi there! I just said yes to the 7109 last weekend!  It is an absolutely gorgeous gown…I was pretty hooked to it for the whole week after I first saw it, and my mom loved it too.  It was almost sad that none of the other dresses I tried on could even compare to this one b/c it cost more than what I wanted to spend.  I ended up buying it so quickly because the boutique that I tried it at just happened to be having a trunk sale the following week!

It’s a very glamorous, classy, and well-made dress.  I personally thought this dress was the loveliest of the rest of the styles at the Simone Carvalli trunk show.  It’s made of a beautiful silk satin, and it’s not heavy.  I loved the perfect placement of lace detail at the very top and bottom parts of the dress, the little bit of sparkle at the waist, and the unique belt/sash that accentuates your figure.

The only thing I would note is that the photo of the dress that’s online (see below) is a bit misleading in that it appears to be a trumpet silhouette, but it’s really more of an A-line.  The model is just posing strangely.

Hope that helps!  I’m happy to answer any other questions you may have.  Just let me know! 🙂

I also purchased this dress! I found it in August last year and bought it during a trunk show in October… i later fell in love with a Tara Keely (2052) but when I went back to look at the Simone Carvalli I knew it was my dress…it arrives May 13th!

I just said yes to this dress and I love it! I knew it was the one before my consultant zipped me into the sample lol. It fits beautifully and silk is so pretty. I bought it Ivory just because I think it looks best with my complexion.

The funny thing is I had been trying on nothing but lace gowns and my consultant decided to bring a couple of silk/satin and lace dresses for me to try and this was the one. When I got home I looked at my theknot.com profile and it was one of the dresses I saved as a favorite a while ago and forgot about. Maybe it was meant to be 🙂

I chose this gown. I’m pretty short and curvy already, but I loved the way I felt in this gown. I felt sexy and curvaceous (whereas I usually feel fat…). I also loved the quality of the dress. It’s heavy, but it feels sturdy and well made. And it definitely didn’t hurt that I got an amazing deal on it when I found it at a resale shop that sold discontinued gowns donated from bridal salons.
