I think beach ceremony would be lovely!  There’s something so soothing about the ocean- I think it would be a wonderful place.

@Missus_LLC:  You’ll have to look into your city, to find out if there’s a license you need for being married in a public space. Then yep, you can hire an officiant who will be able to do a civil ceremony.

@Missus_LLC:  Maybe you can find a coordinator in the area who is experienced with that. I think for some beaches, you need a permit. Another option would be to do a Destination Wedding. One of my FB friends did a beautiful Destination Wedding in Thailand and it was literally just the couple and the officiant. The taxi driver was the witness. All she had were gorgeous local tropical/bright flowers in her bouquet and a simple arch. Her Darling Husband just wore island-y theme clothing. The pictures were crispy/clean and I had serious wedding envy!

a beach would be simple but beautiful for sure. no need to decorate!

i know youre only asking about location, but as far as the actual ceremony goes, with a group that intimate i am guessing that everyone present will be very very close to you. maybe you could ask each guest to do a reading or reflection on you guys or marriage. i think it would be very special to have the people you love the most as part of your ceremony!
