I purchased my dress this past July, and I loved it. When I ordered the dress, the sample fit perfectly. However, now that I’ve received my actual dress, its a little too big (which is easily fixed) and it seems to be a little plain for my liking.
I love the silhouette of the dress (mermaid/trumpet) and I love the buttons on the back. However, it feels a little plain to me. I will be wearing my mother’s pearl necklace with my dress, so there’s not much I can do jewelry wise.
I really want to do something to spruce it up a bit so that I fall back in love with it! Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Here’s the dress:

A lace bolero jacket could add a bit of detail, or depending on the time/style of your wedding a pair of vintage style wedding gloves would add a wonderful classy touch of detail.
A more intricate veil would also do the trick. Or, when you have your dress altered, you could have them take up the front hem by an extra inch or two, to allow your toes to peek out when you walk, put on some colorful fun shoes and suddenly, they’re a splash of fun in a beautiful sea of white.
You look absolutely amazing by the way! 🙂

Your dress is beautiful! I actually love the simplicity! If the sash is removeable, I’d suggest getting one with more bling. You can also spruce it up with your accessories – necklace, earrings, bracelet, hair comb, etc. Good luck!

I have the exact same dress, and I’m going to change out the sash to a more sparkly one.
