Futurecalise:  I think your ring looks beautiful on your finger.  I personally prefer stones that are less than 1 ct, especially on smaller hands/fingers.  Congrats on the engagement!

Futurecalise:  Your ring is lovely and it is your ring! I think your fiance was smart and didn’t go into debt to purchase your ring.  A much smarter move for your future and your ring is still absolutely beautiful!

Futurecalise:  Pretty! You will find that many women have diamonds this size. No mistaking what that ring means! Congratulations!

Mine is a 0.5 center and 0.7tcw. Not necessarily big by bee standards, but I think it’s a pretty nice size. You can also search older threads on here, there are some seriously gorgeous smaller carat rings.

Futurecalise:  It’s really lovely! My ring is a quarter carat solitaire. I love it! I have a job that requires I work with and wash my hands a lot, so it’s really practical. I don’t think I’ll ever upgrade my stone. I do want to get it reset in rose gold though, and possibly bezel set.

I love your ring!!! It looks wonderful on your hand. 🙂

My husband proposed with this ring

Then he let me pick out the setting. My center stone is .3 and the side stones are .2 the whole set is 1ctw. I love small stones they shine so bright. I want to have an emerald set into the old solitaire.

Futurecalise:

(sorry for the weird pics)

My e-ring is a .25 round. Don’t mind the nails.

Your ring is lovely! While I don’t have a ring less than 1/2 a carat, I don’t think size/clarity/colour/gemstone etc make a difference as long as you love It. It’s a symbol of your love and his promise to you, and that is all that matters.

No your deff not the only one most people our age (I’m 22 years old as well) just don’t have that kind of money just starting out on your own pretty much. I actually got married last year in May but I just got my ring about a month ago. We wanted to save up to get the ring I wanted. I’m a MED student and he’s in the military so extra money isn’t always laying around. We got a great deal on 2.16ct solitaire though for really really cheap! Just took a lot of looking around and chance.

I’m pretty close to you. I have a simple 1/3 ct. I love it.

bitsybee:  Thank you, we spent several months looking for something I loved and as soon as I saw this, I knew! I was just reading through the thread ‘weird reactions to your ring’ and I have not gotten any comments that haven’t been positive, or on it’s size because it is smaller than average. I think it is because I am so happy with it, and it shows whenever it is brought up in conversation. I’m also notoriously unfussy so something like this suits me.

Let’s see yours!

Futurecalise:  Does mine count and simple? I think it is very simple other then the U shape the stones are set into.
