I think what you bought is lovely. It’s understated and elegant.

My BFF has a wedding band with a few more diamonds width wise exactly like the one you posted above and it looks lovely and simple (but elegant) on her hand (she wears it alone most days). I love it!

First of all, love the idea!  And since you have such delightfully tiny fingers, have you considered vintage?  A lot of older bands have more detail/sparkle than modern ones (IMO), and I think they might serve your dual purpose well.

ALSO: all the rings listed are under 1k!

See: 7 small stones, 1910s, 2 tone metal, less diamonds, 1940s 1930s, unusual stone shapes, platinum 1920s, platinum, two row design 1930s, 14k, lovely design AND I know you said silver/white gold, but this ring is awesome and I bet you could get it rhodium plated but back to silvertone… 1930s, serious sparkler, 3 row design so this one is 1930s, yellow gold band BUT white gold head (only part you can really see) and finally, 1960s, mixed shapes, modified 2 row design. i truly apologize if i have overwhelmed you, but I am bored out of my mind at work today (all of my students are absent!), so I have been stalking the ring boards to find someone who needed a scavenger hunt of sparklies.  hope this helps you!
