The beginning of Mr., Mrs., Ms., Miss, etc. I think.  Though that kind of rules our Dr. and more familiar terms (like Aunt).

M___ so you can fill it in to become “Miss Nimiele” or “Mr Nimiele”. 🙂

@Niemele, it is totally awkward. But I agree with nashvillebridetobe, it’s better than getting an RSVP back with a meal choice but no name!

i also think its kinda awkward.. i think i’m going to leave it off mine too!

( We got a wedding invite in the mail last week and i had to ask FI what the “M” was for too! ) hahaha!

Alot of people leave out the M

The alternative to avoid lots of people coming you can personalise your rsvp card with the guests name printed on the rsvp instead. That way they cant add someone elses name on their or invite the rest of their family. Makes it more specific.

Up to you tho, I didnt include one in mine. I just included a rsvp slip that said

Please reply by such and such date

 by one of the following options

listed our website

and listed mine and my mothers telephone number

We did this so I wouldnt have to put an envelope in with the invitations for them to send them back and it gave them an option for those electronic minded or those who like to phone, and also im not having slips of card around the house which are likely to get lost!
