Sinking Bride

posted 5 months ago in Beehive

So i purchased my beautiful blue shoes to wear the day of the wedding, but I jus remerbered(due to all the madness) that my ceremony is held in a garden, with lots of grass So i'm definitely going to be sinking!  What should I do? I may have to just wear diff shoes

I would practice in them to see how much you sink.  If you sink too much, buy another pair and use those for your reception.  They are cute.

it will depend on how soft and wet the lawn is.

you can also just put all the weight in the front like your are tip-toeing.

it could work. i have done it while wearing heels once and i had to walk across a lawn.

I agree with the above posters... wearing them at the reception is a great idea, and I've worn heels on grass plenty of times, so practice!

I've never tried them but these might be worth a shot:

Be practical.  Don't stand on your toes just to be cute.  Get some shoes that will work.  You have to be comfortable on your wedding day! (I know this goes against a lot of advice around here).  They are adorable, but unless you are on firm ground, they just don't seem realistic.

I agree with doctorgirl - you don't want to be walking funny down the aisle! And also, once you do forget to walk 'properly' and you do sink into the ground even once, those pretty blue heels will be brown and dirty. Probably not too noticeable under a long dress, but it would bother me all day! So I would go with something more practical - wedges, or the like.

They are awfully cute though! Hopefully you can wear them later in the day.
