Sounds cool. Seriously though the awesome thing is being pregnant with your sister! I always wanted someone to be pregnant with.
This sounds perfect! I think it's a great idea. I've never been to one, but I have heard of them before.
I've never been to one but what a great idea! Get it all done with at once! I agree with MaiFuture, that's awesome that you and your sister are pregnant at the same time!! All my friends are having kids now but DH and I are a couple years off, so I worry that by the time we get to it I'll be on my lonesome.
It's fun being pregnant with my sister-espcially during the first trimester when we felt like total ass. We would just lay in bed and talk about how it sucked and how sick we felt. haha. waaaaahhhh. it was the ultimate pity party.
I'm having a sip & see in like 2 weeks! I'm not really into showers so I told my mom this is what I wanted to have in my hometown for family and mostly her friends. (I did have a shower where I live but it was mainly my local friends, not much family)
We're doing what you said and basically having a low-key open house. Come and go as you'd like. We'll have muchies. Nothing too fancy.
PS - Too cool to be preggers with your sis and have such close due dates! I had 3 nephews born within 8 days of each other last October- all from different s-i-l's :) It was crazy!

Has anyone ever been to one? My twin and I are both pregnant and due within a week of each other so my mom is throwing us a joint baby shower with just our immediate family involved and mutualy friends and MIL's. If we started inviting in-laws ( like husbands aunts, cousins, friends, wives of friends) the guest list would be close to 100 so we decided that a small shower for our family members is the best idea. It would be dumb for everyone in our family to go to two showers that would probably be a week apart.
So anyway-my sis and I decided to have a sip and see party after the babies are here. We'll have an open house ( no gifts) for all of the people we didn't invite to the shower. People can drink wine, munch on apps and meet the babies. I like this idea.
