I’m having a lot of trouble trying to decide my last bridesmaid. I can’t choose between my new sister-in-law and my 17 year old cousin. I’ve always thought of my cousin as a little sister to me and feel particularly close to her. However, I was a bridesmaid for my sister-in-law last year and, with my brother (her husband) as a groomsman, I feel like I need to involve her as well. I get along well with my sister-in-law but, at the same time, I don’t feel any strong bond (at least, not yet).

Can you make one a BM and the other your Personal Attendant?

Why not ask both of them?

I can’t ask both of them because we’re trying to keep costs low. In either case, I’d probably ask the other one to do a reading or something else to keep them involved but I just can’t decide who would be better suited for each/what is most appropriate.

Is Sept 2015 your right date? I ask because maybe you should wait to decide? They really don’t have roles until starting a year or so out.
Honestly, I thought I had to decide and choose soon after we got engaged, and I did and I have regrets. We only got engaged in March, and I am already sad about who I asked to be in the wedding (which is part of the reason- one of many- we might be eloping instead).
I asked my sister and two close friends, and I already wish I hadn’t asked the one friend at all. If I had o pick today, I wouldn’t consider her.
See how the bond develops, or if it doesn’t then decide. Wait until next year!
