Ushers, they could do a reading, a speech, or be mcs?

when my brother got married my job was simply to show up – there are no duties for sisters of the groom unless you give them something like a reading or usher

we’re asking my FI’s sister to do a reading. Or, if they have kids, ask them if you can “use” their kids as your flower girls/ring bearers. If your FI doesn’t have any brothers, ask him if he’d like to have his sister’s as his “groomsmen.” Or ask them if they’d like to play hostess at the reception (keeping an eye on the staff, the food, the dj, the supplies in the bathrooms, etc)
