If you are that concerned you can ask her to flip it up into her nose.

And for what it’s worth, I don’t consider getting a peircing stupid.

@LovelyLaura:  she didn’t literally mean that getting a piercing is stupid in general .. Just that they didn’t consider how annoying that would be for the bride if she didn’t want them to look that way in her pictures since they are part of the bridal party.. But yeah I guess they could both just flip it into their nose!

with certain kinds of septum jewelery, you can flip it up into your nose so no one can see it.. just depends on what she got.  that being said, not sure you can expect people to make their decisions based on your wedding.

You can’t really expect people to put their lives on hold just because they’re in the bridal party…

I disagree with a lot of the replies. I’d be pissed too! Granted people don’t have to stop their lives for the bride, but c’mon now, this is going to be in her pictures. It’s not exactly the prettiest looking piercing.

She could have waited a damn week – it was not thoughtful of her at all. Besides, within a week if the piercing was bad she could get seriously sick, it could swell, it could get infected; it was a stupid decision.

For reference I am not shy of piercings at all; my MOH has her forward helix and lobes, belly button, nose and did have a lip and tonge piercing. I also have 6 in my ears and my tongue done, with three more on the way.

Is a week too much to ask? I wouldnt think so.

yes, we know planning a wedding is stressful.  as far as “a piercing is not a priority that can’t wait”, obviously it was for her.  obviously it’s something that she thinksis attractive and wanted to have done.  & as we said, if she has a kind of ring in that isn’t a closed ring, she can flip it up and no one will even know

Normally I say, you can’t expect people to put things on hold for your wedding, or change their appearance for your wedding. But it’s only a week before the wedding and (I gather) she didn’t have a nose piercing before, and a nose piercing changes a person’s appearance a fair bit. And why can’t she just wait a week?

Yeah, I’d be p1ssed.
