Good to know, thank you. Hope it's an easy resolve!
I may have missed a thread on this so forgive me if I'm restating something you've explain, but could you possibly share with us the plans for the website in more depth. As a user of the site it is extremely frustrating to continually come here and not be able to access it because it is down. I've never used another site with so many issues. Is there something major being changed to attribute to or what is the problem? It would be nice to know why the site is having so many glitches and be able to understand if this is a long or short term issues.
I was worried it was just me! Glad to know this is being worked on.
Thanks for the patience all!
@MsBrooklynA: I've requested that tech give a higher level explanation of the problems to all of us and will report back when they do...I'd love it if someone from th team explained it in their own words rather than me relay the info, so hopefully I can make that happen! Basically from what I know it's a server issue affecting a lot of the sites on our company (not just Weddingbee). We haven't had major outages like this since our server migration (a couple months ago) so issues prior to 2 months ago had been resolved, and this is a new one. Changes are not actually being made to the site, and this current issue SHOULD be a short term issue...I cannot be 100 percent certain what "short term" means however (this is currently issue number 1 on our team's list of issues to resolve). Please know that we're doing everthing we can to restore site functionality to normal!
I just wanted to say that I post on JustMommies (one of the sister sites) and it has been having the same issues!
I hope it gets resolved soon. Thanks for the warning!
ha ha, I thought it was just me too! Glad to know I'm not the only one!
I am glad they are working on it. The past few months have been almost painful. There never use to be so many glitches like this. It is really frustrating to have the site go down so often.
I know these outages are killing me!! lol.
Thank you, the outages always seem to be just as I have logged on, and then it goes down, it's such a big tease, haha! :P
I have been asked not to use WeddingBee at work anymore. The site is not blocked , nor would my employer block any site of this nature. The IT team tells me it is just a poorly constructed site that causes problems with Internet Explorer slowing down or freezing.
I am constantly getting messages that" a script on this page is causing problems with Internet Explorer".
Is this what keeps causing me to get this message? I haven't gotten it before, only in the past few days. If I close one browser and open another, it works (like a switch from Firefox to Internet Explorer for example):
Oh dear!
! An invalid configuration file was found at bb-config.php
The installation cannot continue.
Usually this is caused by one of the database connection settings being incorrect. Make sure that the specified user has appropriate permission to access the database.
Yeah, I can't get on this website at work either. Everytime I try, it shuts down internet explorer and closes all my windows out. I know this, yet I still try all the time! Then I get mad I have to open all of my 20 programs I use all over again. haha
There are a ton of posts about the site almost contantly going in and out. It would be great if that IT specialist could get on here and explain what the problem is and when it will be fixed.
I agree; it's becoming quite frustrating and is making me want to go to other sites isntead.
I am an IT HW specialist. Too bad I am not close by to check the problem out. It might be SW issue aswell, but that is difficult to say if you don't have all the symptoms and stuff at hand. Anyways, I hope these outages stop soon, it's such a shame that it happens. :/ Thanks for the notification!
I've been having that "invallid configuration" page come up ALOT over the last couple weeks.... pretty consistently throughout the day EVERYday.
Hope they can get it working smoothly soon =/
@amnystik: I always get invalid configuration.
And I ALWAYS get "slow down; you move too fast". All the time. I really don't think I move very fast at all.
I could not acces the site this morning or this afternoon. It's almost 6pm, and this is the first I could access the boards after trying a few times throughout the day.
@VickyAurea: It's the Bee's gentle way of telling us all to get back to work! ;)
I'm not sure if this is "normal" but the date that listed to the right of the person's username is wrong and it's driving me nuts.
For example, on comment #23 (above), it says July 2009, then #24 says June 2012.
Is there anything you can do?
@delicious: The date that is to the right of everyone's user name is their wedding date, not the current date or the date they replied to the thread.
Yeah these site outages are REALLY driving me insane. We've gotta do something about it.
@MrsDiddles: Yeah, last I heard I know the techs were working on it. It's also a holiday so I don't think this will get solved this weekend. Hang in there!
@Piccateer: thank you for clarifying that!!! That makes soo much sense!! haha. =)

Hi all!
You've probably noticed that we've had brief site outages occuring since this weekend. This is due to a known infrastructure issue, and our tech team has been working on a resolution as we speak! Until it's completely resolved you may experience small outages here and there...we promise it's priority #1 to get fixed!
Thank you so much for bearing with us, and your continued reports. We'll keep you updated!
