@jocrazy:  This isn’t going to be a ton of help, but I’m a size 4.5 with a 2mm band. I wouldn’t get something huge for the ering if you want to get a wedding band.

I have a size 3.5 finger, and my wedding band is 3mm, and my engagement ring (which will now be on my right hand…is like 1.5mm) The new ring for my wedding set is about 2.5mm. But eh, I like it.  =]

I wear a 3.75 and my engagement ring is a solitaire (7mm stone) with a 3mm band (it’s about 4mm near the stone though). At first it seemed really wide, but I actually now like it better than a lot of rings I’ve had with thinner bands. I probably won’t continue wearing it with my wedding ring though as I think 3mm is the widest I’d like the look of on my finger, so you might want to consider a thinner band if you plan on wearing yours as a set.

Oh also, option 2 is going to be tough to find a wedding band that looks good with it IMHO. You probably won’t like the gaps made by curved or straight wedding bands with it.

Heres another picture which is not really what you’re asking for lol. Its a gigantic blingy wedding band next to my ering. But it kind of gives you an idea of what lots of diamonds look like on a small finger. I *think* the first option might be wider than the blingy band at its widest point.

I don’t love either ring set a ton, and I think they could look bulky on a finger as small as yours. You do have a great benefit with fingers that small though – pretty much any diamond/stone will look big on your hand! I think a solitaire would be lovely.

I have a 3.5 size ring (actually getting resized down to a 3.25) and a 2.2mm band.  I think it’s perfect and 3mm would be too big for me…BUT everyone has their own style.  If you like thicker bands, then go for it.  Here’s a pic for some perspective:

@jocrazy:  Thanks!!  The stone is 1.4 and in the band, there are 14 pave stones (7 on each side) that amount to .5 carat. I honestly didn’t know what I wanted, I just knew what I didn’t want.  We went ring shopping and I never saw something I loved but knew I wanted a solitaire with pave diamonds.  He picked this out and I was shocked because it was perfect.  Surprising that he managed that all on his own. 😉

@jocrazy:  I know how hard it is to find a small ring. I wear a 3, I am ordering a ring from ebay for really cheap…
