This is my set, ering white gold asscher cut diamond with halo. 2 mismatched diamond bands. I love Rose gold! I’m sure your ring will be gorgeous and I hope your proposal comes soon, good luck 🙂 x

Here is my 3/4 carat solitaire, my finger is a size 7 (short chubby fingers lol) and, like you, I enjoy a looser fit so the ring is a 7.5. I included one of the ring the day he proposed so you can see the sparkly diamond 🙂 and also a close up shot of the ring from my e-pics because I think it gives a good idea of the finger coverage. I think going with a 1-1.5 carat like you were thinking would look great 🙂

missmorris710:  Did you actually try any rings on? I have short, pudgy fingers. My ring size is a 7, but because my fingers are so short, a smaller carat size actually looks better. I’d suggest trying on rings with different size stones and see what you like best. There isn’t a lot of space between the bottom of my finger and my first knuckle, so really big rings look like costume jewelry on me. A half carat is a really nice size on me. I have a quarter carat ering, and I think it looks great.

I don’t post a lot of hand shots because my hands are beat up from constant hand washing due to my job. Not sure if this will help or not, but here is one of the few hand shots I’ve got:

missmorris710:  Hello! I wear a 6.75 and my center stone is a 1.85 carat radiant cut with a cushion halo. I consider my fingers to be lean, but I hate how my fingers curve every which way 😛 I love my ring though! 🙂

I’m a 6.25 but very short fingers – this is a 2 carat round with a halo.

missmorris710:  sure! My specs are asscher centre d colour vs1 4.25 ct, my halo would total nearly 5 ct. I bought my 2 bands from an antique shop And have no idea the specs on those. I just loved the vintage feel!

Definitely try things on if you can — I wear a size 5.5 but my fingers are very short so they look quite fat and stubby, lol. I ended up with a 1.5 carat pear halo on a relatively thin pave band. I found the shape of the pear really elongating compared to round or square cuts, especially with a large stone. If I were you I’d try on an oval or elongated cushion 🙂
