I think it's perfect! You can't judge things by the Bee, because you're going to see a LOT of different types and sizes on here, and on other boards. I love it though, I'm a size 6 and that's exactly the size I would have chosen. I ended up with a smaller stone in a halo, which is bigger than I would have liked for a solitaire but I still love it.
Oops, I forgot to post the actual size, LOL. My center stone is .46, the total weight of the ring itself is 1.16.
I don't think you can say "who doesn't love bling?" in the rest of my life, I am very simple in style, nothing ornate, or flashy colors, etc, and I didn't want a ring that would get in the way of using my hands, sit too high so I hit it all the time, and worried about losing stones or damaging it. The ring was within my SO's small budget and is very much my style. I'm not saying big stones or bad or that other ladies might want big stones, but don't compare yourself to the big ones on WB! I have seen some beautiful rings over 1 ct that I drool over, but I realize I could never feel comfortable wearing them daily. :)
I love your ring. It would actually be too big for me! I've got a three-stone low profile; I use my hands a lot and I'm around my nieces and nephew quite a bit, so smaller and lower-profile stones were a must for me.
You're going to see a lot of rings on here, and they're not going to really help you figure out whether your ring is right for you. If you loved your ring before seeing the other rings on here, consider it a "grass is always greener." I think your center stone is going to make it a lot easier to find a wedding band to go with it; it's big enough to stand out and be a star, but not so big that it hogs your entire finger and makes another ring look out of place, if that makes sense.
I'm a size 6 also and the center stone of my e-ring os only 1/3 ct, but i suppose with the halo it looks a little larger. I think yours is definitely proportionate, haha at least i hope so becasue it's bigger than mine!
I think it looks great! If that is what fits your personal style, don't worry about what anyone else thinks or says.
I am also a size 6, and my ring is a round cut solitaire and is .7 and I think it looks great :) My fiance chose to focus on the quality of the diamond instead of really looking at the size, and I am so happy he did. What matters most is that when you look at it it reminds you of how much he was thinking of you when he chose it. That always puts a smile on my face :)
in the end - the love between you two is what matters. if you like your ring, who cares if you dont get tons of oohing and ahhing over it. you're the one wearing it and it symbolizes love between you two. i personally like it though. mine is a simple solitaire - nothing fancy at all but i love it!
I love your ring! It's a great size, looks beautiful. I think you've hit the sweet spot of being big enough to beautiful and proportionate on your finger, but not so big as to be ostentatious.
Thanks a lot for the replies ladies, specially as I am a little bummed as I just found out that the central stone is even smaller than I though, its a 0.75 carat. I know I shouldn't moan but still I do feel it shows, and we had sort of decided on 1 carat. Anyways, perhaps later get an upgrade...
all the best to everyone!
I think your ring is a perfect fit for your finger. Buuut you don't have to pull my arm to get me to show off my ring. I am a size 6 and my center stone is a .77 the tcw is 1.00.

@cjfs: Your ring is gorgeous and perfect. Are you feeling down on it because your friends aren't sharing in your excitement? Maybe they are just jealous ;)
In all honesty though, the ring looks well made and proportionate. The side stones add really nice sparkle, and IMO centerstones over .75 all look pretty close to a carat. And if people ask what the size is (besides the fact that it's non of their business!) you can always quote the total carat weight of the ring :P

It's gorgeous! I know it's hard not to envy, but try to enjoy your beauty.
Your ring is very similar to mine!! I got it this weekend and I'm drooling over it. My case was different because it was NOT what I wanted! I had specifically told him that i liked a 6 prong solitaire or a round halo. He got me one with a channel set band which I never thought I would like!! I'm so happy he didn't listen to me and just went with what he thought I'd love.
needless to say, i think your ring and carat size look PERFECT.
here's mine:

I think it's absolutely perfect. It's especially perfect because you can always stack wedding/anniversary bands quite nicely :)
@betty_spaghetti: yea, i saw your ring on other posts!! lol, you're posting it on all the ring threads! go for it, it looks great!
I think i will change my ering though, i loved it at first, but now just feel its too classic for me. We'll see!
enjoy it!

hi ladies,
After seeing a lot of photos and reading comments on e-rings, I'm feeling a little so so about the size of the center stone on my e-ring. I mean i initially choose it cos of praticality/safety, and I also had the price in mind as my FI has had to pay A LOT just on airtickets between us. But still who doesnt like a big bling, and i've barely received any positive comments from my friends on it. Peculiar, perhaps envy, but makes me wonder nevertheless. My ring size is a 6, which is not tiny as well, and it seems that ring size matters in determining the center stone size. I did want something traditional, timeless and not fussy.
I´m not sure what the actual specs are as he bought it after I told him exactly what I wanted, but I'm guessing it's a .8 carat size. It is a round diamond, with channel set 7 round diamonds on each side, white gold.
Anyway, just needing some reassuring words from this wonderful beehive!
ps- I love the ring design, style, its just the center stone size that has me mixed up...
Thanks!
