1.5 carats is larger than what most people get. I am a size 7, my e-ring is a 1 carat solitare (high quality color and cut but I don’t know the specs) and I love it.

I’m a size 7 with a unique e-ring.  There is no center stone, but the total diamond weight is .42 carats.  I love it.  It suits my hand because the wide band makes it look big enough.

I’m a 7.5 and my stone size is .87ish.  I don’t think 1.5c will look small at all! I would be worried about it looking huge.

I think a 1.5 would look great.  I have a 2 ct on a size 7 finger.

Mine is a .75 center stone, 1 ct total, ring size 7

Sorry for the huge pic, by the way!

You are worried about a 1.5 looking too small?!?!  I have a .75 and it looks perfectly proportional on my average sized hands.

I’m a 6.75 – and I have a lot of small bling.

Engagement Ring: .6 center, .2 in each side stone – 1.5 tccw

W-band: 1 cttw

Definately go try on a few – but I think that a 1.5 ct center would be beautiful – in fact, when we do upgrade my set, all we will do is put somewhere around a 1.3-1.5 ct. princess in the center…

1.27 ct 4mm wide band on a size 7.25 finger. GIA graded ideal cut, SI1, G color.  The cut of the stone is going to make a huge difference in the sparkle.  Proportion is something to watch as well.  We chose a marquise with different than the recommended proportions because I didn’t want to look like I was wearing a canoe on my hand.

I wear a size 7 and have about a .80 center and 1.5 total and it’s perfect (not that I wouldnt mind a 2-2.5+c..heh) anyways… all the rings I tried on the stores are all a size 7 as I believe that is pretty much the standard for sample sizes.

Not sure why it would be difficult to find rings to try on..?

Good luck 🙂

My ring size is a 7.5 – Center stone is a little over 1c – I like the double halo – I haven’t found anyone really with it and it makes the center stone pop!
