I have a size 8 ring finger with a .51 diamond stone:
here is my wedding and engagement rings (like .7 ct)
My e-ring is size 8.5, with center stone right at 1.2--I think the side stones help detract from my chubbiness.
Size 9 finger, 1 ct. center stone. I think a 1.5 solitaire will look good.
I think that size will look perfect. I have a 1.2 carat stone (with halo) on a size 6, so a 1.5 carat will be perfectly proportional on your finger :)
I have a bigger ring size, can't remember which, but 1.5 would look nice. I have princess cut solitaire that's 1.7 carats for comparison sake. My husband pointed out that the carat size would fit my ring size well when we were talking about friends' engagement rings.
This is what 0.9 carat looks like on a sz 9.5 finger. I feel like 1.5 carats would have been perfect for me!...
I have a size 10 ring finger. My stone is 11x5cm or 5 carats (but aquamarine isnt listed in carats). There are 1.4 carats of diamonds underneath the aquamarine.
@Dolldancer8: I'll post when I get mine!! Im a size 9 and were getting a 1.5 for my center stone! Its a perfect size!!
yeah i think you ring will totally work.. ive got an 8.5 finger and have a 2 carrat citrine stone. i love it.. totally will look great on you!!
@misschickpea:OMG...when are you getting it??? I'm hoping it looks ok...I'm so nervous...but I think I'm being tricked because he's saying that its gonna be a couple of weeks for it to get sized and set, and then he's changing his story...grr...maybe it will be this week and he's just trying to surprise me...
@Dolldancer8: We just ordered the stone today and it should be here by the middle of next week. Then SO will have it set without me knowing!! He did say that he wont make me wait long! Im soooooo excited and heres the setting it will go in~!
