Does anyone think that a 5×7 STD is too large?
I am thinking of doing a STD minibook from the website http://www.minted.com (http://www.minted.com/customizer/sku/MIN-W49-SMB), and I want to put a magnet strip on the back so guests can put it on their fridge.
Thanks in advance!

I definitely think that’s pretty large for a Save the Date. Really, Save the Dates should be simple, small-ish, and easy to place somewhere (considering they’re more likely to be lost or thrown away than an invitation), and I have never seen anything larger than a 3×3 or 3×4 magnet or card.

Mine were 5×7. It didn’t seem too large for me. I’ve made many Save-The-Date Cards in all sizes. 5×7 is not uncommon at all for Save-The-Date Cards.

Thanks, guys, for your input. I went ahead and ordered the 5×7 minibook. I was trying to steer away from magnets, since a lot of my friends were recently using them, and wanted to be different. I ordered a sample, and it didn’t seem too big at all. I figure, we didn’t have an engagement announcement or party, so it was okay to splurge on this. I had to put a lot of info on it since the venue is 1.5 hours away from both families. Thanks again for your opinions!

I ended up buying a self adhesive magnet at Michael’s to stick on the back of the 5×7, making it an option for people who do want to hang it on their fridge!
