the gowns are by different designers so the sizing varies. you can check on their websites for the different designers and check their size charts

I went to this in ATL.  Most of the dresses are samples, so they are probably a street size 6-8.  However, they do have a decent selection of smaller and larger sizes.  They do have thousands of dresses.  It is worth your time to go, just know your designers and retail range.  You may be able to get a sample gown for the same or less in a bridal shop.

There are an abundance of size 8 and 10 gowns and then more on either side. Of course, an 8 is like a 4, so while you may have to alter, there’s more than likely something there for you!

I’m about your size. I went to the one in DC and I found: one size 2, two size 4s, and maybe one size 6 dress. The 2 fit, the 4s were ok, and the 6 was too big. I left without finding/buying a dress. Granted, I went later in the afternoon after all of the craziness, so maybe there were more sizes in the morning, but I still felt disappointed in the selection.

Granted, you might find one you love at a great enough deal to pay for alterations, but I was hoping to find one that I could wear off the rack, and it didn’t work out for me.

I agree with the poster above. I also went to the ROB here in DC two weeks ago, and there were plenty of 6/8/10 dresses–I didn’t run across  a whole lot smaller than that. As others have mentioned, bridal sizes run very small compared to contemporary street sizes, so just grab a bunch of different styles and sizes and see what works. I am a street 4/6 and some of the size 14 wedding dresses wouldn’t zip up on me–so you may be surprised! And if you find something fantastic that’s too big, there will probably be an alterations specialist on site drumming up business, and you can ask if altering a specific dress down a couple sizes is possible.

Do plan to go early so you can get the best selection. You can trade dresses with other girls who need larger sizes.

Good luck!!!  I found my dress there and couldn’t be happier.
