skin treatments before wedding

posted 6 months ago in Beehive

i have some noticeable freckles and spots developing on my face so my dermatologist gave me some bleaching cream to lighten the areas before my wedding.  anyone else getting dermatological or aesthetic treatments before their wedding day?  any treatments you'd avoid before the wedding?

whatever treatments you think you may want to do, i'd try out first well before the wedding.  i'm going to try a full-on body scrub/massage treatment and some self-tanner (eek!).

are you leaving for your honeymoon directly after the wedding?  if you are and are going someplace sunny, check with your dermatologist and see if any of the treatments will make your skin more sensitive to the sun.  it's probably a good idea to check anyway - especially if you will be outside for the wedding. :)

I had an IPL laser treatment 3 months ago and it did an amazing job clearing up my freckles!  It is pricey $$$ but I plan on doing it again a month before my wedding in August.

I'm seriously considering a "photofacial" laser treatment.  In the meantime, I am using a perscription (15%) vitamin C treatment to even out my sking tone.  I will be getting an airbrush tan two days before the wedding (I use Kona tanning company in Irvine).

I'm about to get a v-beam laser treatment for my mild rosacea. Part of me thinks i should wait until after the wedding (which is in 5 weeks) but they keep telling me there are no side effects-anyone try it?

I've also been using jojoba skin oil which is great.
