Totally think it's on an indi basis. Mr.ND likes to stay up an watch some tv or something, I could snuggle right up and be out in one minute (except for him giving me 2 minutes and then hurrying me off to the restroom to prevent UTIs....of ALL the things I ever tell him about womanhood, he remembers the one that interrupts my favorite sleep! LOL). I think each person is different, and not just most women do x most guys do y.

Okay really, its tottaly normal- after all that fun stuff, the bloods pumping, you've got all the happy hormones going though you.. I just don't know how anyone can sleep right after, but my SO can pass out in 10 mins easy after. I just say I need to go do my 'click click" (code for web serfing) or something before I can head to sleep.
Im the same way! Pretty much guarentee that SO will be fast asleep within ten minutes, and I sit there, ready to run a marathon! Ok maybe not that bad, but I do have to calm down and take my time before I fall asleep.
We usually cuddle a bit then both sleep, unless it's morning sex. I never used to be able to with previous partners though.
@SoupyCat: Me too!! My FI always says I'm the "man" when it comes to knockin boots. Give me two minutes and I'm out.
I voted for the first option. But we're usually intimate in the AM, or right before we have to go somewhere- so in those cases we wake up. But on days we both have off work or on the occasionally night we usually fall asleep together afterwards.
I used to be totally wide awake, and have to read or play some mindless card game on my iPhone or something. But now I just roll over and pass out, I don't even leave the bed to pee. (Knock on wood I don't get UTI's, either!)
It usually makes me fall asleep! Unless we are doing it in the morning, then I don't feel as tired afterwards! So I guess it depends on the time of the day for me!
My husband will be sound asleep within minutes, whereas I'm usually pretty awake. Whenever I tease him about it, he says it's my fault that he's tired anyway. :p
DH and I actually had a convo about this when we first started dating and he looked it up... when you "do it" your body actually releases some sort of hormone that makes you sleepy! I have no solid facts about this because it was a long time ago that he looked it up, but sometimes if he can't fall asleep he'll even jokingly ask me to help him out (TMI) haha.
We generally don't have sex right before bed, so I chose the last option. We both go to bed at different hours so that's generally not something that happens. So we only sleep after if we happen to both be super tired or something.

Most of the time, we're both wide awake after. We'll end up going back downstairs and putting a movie in or something. =) He could be half asleep before, but after he's wide awake for a while. And usually I'm the same way, but if either of us is ever sleepy after, it's me.
DH and I both typically pass out pretty quickly. But we also usually have sex right before bed so we've been winding down our days already before we get busy.
Majority of the time we talk for a little bit afterwards then fall quickly asleep. Other nights he'll pass out and I will play on my iPad until I fall asleep. Really depends on how busy my day has been, if a million things are running around my brain, etc.
I'm wide awake. FI can be awake or tired afterwards. Depends.
You are not weird or alone on this one! I also don't like morning sex. I just don't liked to be touched in the morning and sex requires a ton of it! Which means, we better get some afternoon delight or I will be up all night!

Sex doesn't put either of us to sleep, we usually hop right out of bed after, shower, and then cuddle on the couch and watch tv together.
DH and I always have sex at night (routine people). Afterwards we cuddle and drift off.
The guy I was seeing before DH would fall asleep straight away and it would annoy me to no end because I felt like he wanted me to leave, and also because I wanted to do it again! :p
We switch, either I'm out like a light and he gets up and watches tv. Or he conks out and I get all annoyingly lovey-dovey and wake him up to ask him stupid oxytocin fuelled questions such as 'Babe, what are you dreaming about?' or my favourite 'Babe, what if the colour you see as blue I see as orange? We could be seeing totally different colours and never know!'
I think it really depends on whether the person.......finishes or not, and also the time of day! I can't pinpoint us down into a pattern, although I will say that if it's already night time, FI usually falls asleep shortly after.
Totally depends on WHEN we had sex haha. If it was in the middle of the day, we go about business as usual, I'm energized! If it's your typical before bed sex, then yessss I'm in a coma in about 3 minutes flat haha. He has fallen FAST asleep after day sex though too...so funny.
I tend to feel really sleepy after sex which if it's at night I just let myself sleep but if it's in the middle of the day I feel like I need coffee lol.
FI usually feels wide awake after sex so I think it's an individual thing.
We're both usually awake, but we don't usually have sex at night, so I'm not really sure. I definitely don't fall asleep right after though! I have to get up, go pee and get at least a little dressed even to cuddle afterwards.
We both end up sleeping usually,
cause we only ever get time to ourselves at night lol
FI passes out within the hour....me? Iam like bouncing off the walls and can't sleep at all!!! It's sonar if I k ow I have a big meeting or something I have to tell him no, because I would like to go to sleep before the sun is coming up! I don't know why I get so wired after....

Every time after we have sex DH is tired and falls asleep within 10 minutes or so (especially at night). Me? I'm wide awake. I don't care if it's 6:30 am or 11pm, I am completely not sleepy after sex and have to wind down before I can sleep.
Is this werid?
