On my plate right now:
1. moving- deadline to combine FIs and my household into one apartment + one storage unit 19 days. I’m not working so the bulk of the move is on me.
2. job hunting- possibilites are picking up.
3. working short-term gigs- I still have to pay me bills and these are taking up at least half of every day.
4. stuff of life- the etc of daily life.
For some reason everyone in my life is trying to be supportive by telling me I should take time off and relax, problem is that no one is telling me how I’m supposed to do that on top of accomplishing tasks 1-4.
I alternate between laughing like a crazy person and wanting to break down in a giant ball of stressed out mush.
Anyone else have the experience of people giving well-meaning but totally pointless advice because I feel ready to lose it over here!

@renwoman: yes, everyone teling me to relax and enjoy planning for my wedding while simultaneaously stressing me out.
Also, who needs sleep? Clearly not this girl!

@renwoman: OH yes! I know that feeling well… I’m dealing with – preparing to resign from work, moving house, bills and daily life, a demanding day job, a busy 2nd job, preparing for a wedding, preparing for visitors… plus going to have to job search eventually, plus someone said the dreaded “C” word today… CHRISTMAS!!! Eek.
I feel your pain…my solution is trying to go to bed early…but then I get onto wedding bee and don’t sleep! Argh! Big hugs from here… can’t really give much advice but the crazy woman in me just tries to smash through whatever I can and get it done…

People aren’t giving me advice, but I need sleep! I’m extremely busy in nursing school, and because I’m so stressed I can barely sleep. I lay awake for hours and hours trying to sleep but can’t because I’m so stressed out

@renwoman: oh THOSE people. Justw ait, they will have really great suggestions for what you SHOULD have done when it is all over. Water off of a duck’s back!! My suggestion: if anyone does offer to help, delegate. Don’t be afraid to delegate!

I basically majored in sleep deprivation in college (architecture school), your post title spoke to me haha
So…. when these people tell you to take a break and relax, do you counter by asking them for help? Like, “Oh, hey you know – we’re packing this weekend and I’ve been meaning to ask if you could lend a hand for a couple of hours”
(like seriously… you guys are getting help on that one, right? It’s the easiest and best one to get a few extra crew members on board. Pay them in beer.)
And if they say no, guilt trip the crap out of them “Oh well, I just thought it would help me relax a bit if we had a few extra hands to help”
Cue: SAD PUPPY EYES.
BAM! Can’t say no to THAT! (well, hopefully)
