I am EXHAUSTED! Completely and utterly exhausted. I am a raging B****!
Z has been getting up 2,3,4,5 times a night and the last few nights it’s been every 2 hours. He has been battling congestion for the last few months but has also slept thru the night about 6 times. The last few nights though, he wakes up and isn’t really hungry. I offer his bottle and he only drinks about 2-3 ounces. He seems to wake up when he is on his tummy and is still half alseep and won’t roll back over. I have noticed that when he sleeps on his stomach- he is soaking wet in the morning. He does have 3 more teeth coming in so I am not sure if that is the cause. I have been giving him motrin before bed but it doesn’t seem to really do anything.
Any help is MUCH MUCH MUCH appreciated!

My son has been soaking through his diaper when he sleeps on his tummy, too! We’ve always had good luck with Pampers Baby Dry at night, but now I have to change him in the middle of the night or he wakes up soaking wet.
I don’t know if you already do this, but when DS wakes up we do delayed responding. Basically, we’ll wait up to five minutes after he first starts making noise to see if he will go back to sleep on his own. Most of the time, he’s not really awake and he doesn’t really need us when he starts making noise, so if we give him a couple minutes he settles down all on his own. If he starts really crying (not just fussing), though, or if he’s still making noise after about 5 minutes, then I go in and put him back to sleep.
I totally understand how tired you are, though. DS was up most of last night teething, and I’m exhausted today.

@Mrs. Spring: I do wait to go in after him just in case he gets back to sleep on his own. Once in awhile he will but usually I have to go in and get him back to sleep. I don’t know if he just thinks it’s fun to have me at his beck and call or what! I did try to let him cry it out a couple times but once he gets to going he is all out pissed. Before when he would wake up, he would eat and be back to sleep within 10 minutes or so but the last week he has been up about 30 minutes to an hour sometimes.

I hope it’s just teething, and that as soon as those teeth poke through he goes back to sleeping! I hope this for myself, too, lol. 🙂
I know for Dirty Delete, baby tylenol helped a lot, but DS reacts best to Baby Orajel. There’s also teething tablets, although those didn’t work for my kids. Maybe you can try experimenting with different pain relief to see what works best for him?
