sleeping too long = feeling like crap!

    I had the day off today, and slept on and off 'til like 2:30. Sad, I know. Although it wasn't good sleep, because I had about 300 different nightmares (but that's nothing new.) Anyway, whenever I sleep too long, I just feel like crap for the whole rest of the day/night. Like right now, I'm so worthless. I just want it to be tomorrow so I can get up at a decent hour and be productive. Anybody else feel blah when they sleep too long?? Frown

    UGH ME!!!! I set my alarm for 7am on Saturdays for this reason! I also get up at 7 on sundays, lol. When i sleep too much, i feel hungover and sluggish and just awful. I think you just have to force yourself to set alarm clocks for your days off =(. I have to do it so i'm productive and don't feel like crap!

    Ugh, I hate that feeling! It also happens to me if I take a nap and wake up when it's dark outside.

    Yes!!! this definitely happens to me! It's crazy how that works out. During the week I wake up at 6AM so my body is soooo used to that. On weekends I usually end up waking up at 7 at the latest, even if I am determined to sleep it.

    It's crazy though because if I stay up super late on friday or saturday and sleep in, i feel just awful.

    honeybear, i am SUCH the old lady. i was asleep at 10pm last night. I think the only reason I'm awake right NOW (10pm) is i was at the gym until 830 tonight. By 11, i'm out

    I relish in sleeping in during the weekends!  I do hate the feeling of waking up from a nap and it being dark outside, but I don't apologize for sleeping until noon on a Saturday.  That's practically the best part of the weekend!

    Ew, I hate that feeling!!!

    I've been sleeping like crap and really wanted to sleep in this morning. I woke up at 6!! For no reason. Ugh.

    When I stay in bed and sleep past the point at which my body needs sleep, I have all sorts of weird, very real dreams.  It is like my subconscious is telling me to get my butt moving.

    Yeah, that happens to me for sure! I always feel like I can't wake up for the rest of the day! Does anybody else get that feeling where you're like walking around in a groggy dream when you sleep too much?

    that happens to me too... my head hurts and I feel so heavy and lathargic if I take a long sleep.

    and that's why I don't nap either..usually I feel worse after naps

    I hate that too! Of course, I also hate the other side of it, which is that it's VERY rare for me to be able to sleep in. Last night I was up until about 2:00, but I still woke up at 8:30 with no chances of going back to sleep - it sucks!

    Okay it's an old post but I figured it was better than starting a whole new thread.  I am posting here because I feel like total and utter CRAP today for this very reason!

    It seems like we are NEVER able to get enough sleep during the week.  FI and I are full time students with dogs, cats, and kids and crazy schedules.  During the week we often find ourselve struggling with 4 or 5 hours a night at the most so on weekends, while we TRY to stay on schedule, eventually we crash and burn and today we slept way past the morning hours. 

    Ugh.  I makes my sinus problems 20 times worse, I never feel awake, and I am angry at myself for oversleeping.  Plus it's Sunday and far from being a day of rest here, Sunday is our hustle day, with tons of laundry to be done, school work, studying, shopping for the week, and so on.

    It's no wonder I never seem to have time for wedding stuff I MUST get done also! :(
