Maybe some A-Lines? Too much of a ballgown might swallow you a bit. A sheath style would be good to try on as well. Just go and pick a few different silhouettes, you'll know what kind suits you best!
Try all the silhouettes on. You would be surprised what looks good and what doesn't. I think that there is a misconception that certain heights and weights should wear certain things. I was told by all the experts that I should wear certain things being 5'1" and 110lbs, and I hated all those on me. I went with exactly what I wasn't supposed to wear and I loved it.
Yes I agree, try a lot on. No matter what your height/weight your shape will also play a role in what suits you.
Hey there! I am a little taller than you, but it sounds like about the same proportionally :) I LOVED the look of mermaid and trumpet style dresses on my frame, which really surprised me because I thought they were for tall curvy girls! I love the sweetheart neckline because I think it helps bring some volume to the top, and I loved the fitted style because it gave me some great hips! This one was my favorite, Maggie Sottero Jovi

And here's a Mori Lee with a similar silhouette, number 4202

But I definetly agree with everyone - you don't know how anything looks until you try it on :) have fun!!
I'm not as petite as you but I don't have much curve in my hips. I love the fit and flare style because I think it gives you some curve in the right places. My dress cinched in my waist and flared out just below my hips and gives me an hourglass figure that I don't normally have.
I want to second the PP who suggested fit and flare. They add a lot of curve in the right places.
I am the same size you are. Dresses that flared out from my natural waist in too full an A-line or ballgown style swallowed me up. I felt I looked child-sized in them. Example:

What did work for me was what I ended up choosing: fitted through the waist and hips with fullness at the bottom.

It depends on your body shape. I'm a few inches taller than you, but close to the same weight and pretty slim, but I have some curve in the hips. I liked just about every style I tried on, but mermaid, fit and flare, a-line, and sheath looked the best. Ball gowns I kind of got lost in. The one I ended up picking was like an a-line, but I'm having the underneath layer taken in to be more fit and flare and letting the lace overlay still flow out. Here's some pics of ones I tried on that I loved though. The first one is my dress.
This one was my original choice.
And a few others I loved

@Bride2BeeVA28: I love your dress, it looks so good on you!
@HeatherMM: Thank you so much! That perked me up. I saw scadadle15's dress and it immediately made me wish I'd gone for a slimmer Enzoani!
I'm 5'2" and like a stick figure, no curves :(
Here are some dresses I tried on during the hunt. I thought the ballgown dresses swallowed me a bit, although in theory I love them most! I went with a mermaid.
I have similar measurements, here's my dress (please ignore terrible phone camera quality). I highly recommend having your seamstress put pads into whatever dress you end up loving. They help. :)

I'm the same height, weight, bra size lol! I felt mermaid styles fit me the best. This is a size 8 I believe and I ordered a 2, so it will be fit to my body, but I didn't like ball gowns, they made me look short, I also didn't care for A line. Most of the dresses I liked were mermaid and fit n flare.
I suggest fit and flair to give you some curves ;)
If your short stay away from mermaid because it'll cut you off. Of course those ballgowns may swallow you but if you love a full skirt go with a drop waist to keep your slim figure showing.
I'm 5'4 and of all the dresses I've tried on- dropped waist was most flattering HANDS down.

Hi everyone,
I will be going to try on dresses soon and I am short, petite bride 5'2, 32b bra size, and am 100lbs. Not a lotta curves :P But anyway, any good ideas (pictures please) of bridal gowns that you think would look ok on me and that I should try on? Thanks ahead of time! I also like a lot of the Mori Lee styles, and they are within my budget.
