I put it up for sale on the internet a couple weeks ago, and other that 1 CREEPY caller (I took my phone # off of the ad after that) I haven’t had any responses. Until I just checked my email awhile ago. Someone wrote me on it asking if I still had it. She gave me her name & phone # to call her, and I felt my heart jump just a tiny bit at the idea of getting rid of it. Now, yes I should have known that SOONER or later someone would be interested, and I don’t really have room to keep it anyway (plus extra money is always good) but still… so I swallowed the lump in my throat, called her & left a message. She actually JUST returned my phone call (as I was sitting here typing this thread – funny how that works isn’t it) and she’s supposed to come by Tuesday to see it. I had already resolved to sell it, but I’m still entitled to be slightly sad, right?

Just imagine, you could be part of her building her dream wedding too!

I agree with Honey.. just think your dress is going to be a huge part of her special day 😀

I hope she’s an honest person. I’m worried about that too.. I asked her when her wedding was and she said V-day! I was thinking to myself WHY in the world would you NOT have a dress yet?! But maybe she just doesn’t have enough money to get a new one, or go to all the hassel of the alterations & such.. Trying to keep an open mind but I’m not the most trusting person 😛
Plus, the GUY (yes, it was a GUY – said he was calling for his FIANCE) that called me the first time on it over a week ago really creeped me out. He kept asking me all these questions that I had already answered in the ad! Then when I called him on it and told him he was making me uncomfortable he hung up on me!!! AAAGGGHHH! Hence the reason why I took my phone # off of the ad PRONTO and explained to people they need to email me and I will contact THEM lol.
Anyways, but I’m hoping for the best on it. Hopefully she’s just strapped for cash and really likes the dress and thinks is a reasonable deal!

That must be so hard. I’m not even engaged yet, but the thought of giving up such a meaningful piece of clothing makes me ache. I think what I will eventually do is transform my dress into a christening outfit for my future child(ren). Of course, I have a long way to go before I have to think about any of that…I need to think of being engaged first! Your dress, however, is lucky to be adored by more than one bride.

It may be that she’s just having a short engagement and doesn’t have time to order a dress, or she already bought a dress she doesn’t like, or she gained weight and it no longer fits…I can think a bunch of scenarios why someone would be without a dress month prior to their wedding. Hopefully it’s one of those and she loves it, and your special dress will make another bride happy!
