It’s hard to say without a photo. Could she accessorize it to make it more Spring-y? What about a great colourful belt and a fun hat?

Or are you worried about the slinky factor?

If its an evening wedding, I say it doesn’t really matter. I wore a black & white dress for one wedding in June, and chocolate brown for a wedding in May. Both were 5pm ceremonies with receptions immediately following.

I think she should wear what’s most comfortable for her, regardless of the color.

Pretty! I think she’s fine, if you’re OK with it. (Mine were both floor length too.)

@MsJeep23: My mom wore black for our wedding, but not floor length. I think for the evening part it would be terrific, it’ll likely be fine for the afternoon as well. I mean really, she’s going to walk down the aisle and then back up again, it’s not a huge deal. But you have to get her those funky gloves 😉

I can understand your concern – but honestly I think it will be fine.

I think the MOB can wear any dress in any color, I really dont think it matters.. I would only be worried if she wanted to wear somethin crazy like sweat pants

@MsJeep23: Maybe you could steal these sunglasses for your mom while you’re there? We do want her to be appropriately accessorized after all.
