Two posts in one day, I am on a roll 🙂
I posted earlier about a modesty panel and got great feedback, thank you all!
Thought I’d ask this time about a slip. My dress is in and wedding is in less than 6 weeks. I really feel very pretty in my dress, something I didn’t know was possible. So now I just have some of those last minute decisions to make on it.
Picture on left is with a poofy slip, picture on right is no slip.
Basically I am most concerned with what is most flattering to my shape. Opinions??

If you’re going to go ballgown, go all out! I think the fuller shape is more flattering 🙂
You look lovely!!!

I definitely say go with the first one 🙂

not sure if the slip impacts this, but I think from the waist up you look better in the picture on the right. Which is why I voted the way I did.

@FutureMrsP1005: You def look thinner with no slip

Beautiful satin dress! Show it off with the slip!

I like it with the slip! I think it just looks better, and is more flattering!

Its looks like something is missing without the slip, with the slip it looks full and beautiful, AND it’s flattering bc it accentuates the hourglass shape 🙂

Slip! with it, the styling looks purposeful. Without it, it just looks like extra fabric…

Definitely need the slip! It will keep the dress the shape it’s supposed to be, especially when walking down the aisle. You don’t want it to cling to your legs- the slip will poof out the right amount to show off those pretty pleats and accentuate the whole package. If you are worried about too much poof, can you try other slips? I’m sure your bridal shop has many options, maybe one will some but not as much poof (though I think your photo on left looks great).

@MSbride2Bee: Thanks for great advice!!! I ended up choosing a slip that is one step down on poofyness level and it is just perfect!!!
