Pretty! I love how they are bunched together...looks like one big flower!
for my friend's wedding we carried one large calla with a shear ribbon draped on the arm the wasn't on the gm. it was nice. the MOH had 2 or 3.
This was my MOH and BM's bouquets. They are from the website http://www.thebridesbouquet.com/
These are a couple of the inspiration pics I have. I want small, all-rose bouquets. No filler and short stems also reduce the cost. I realize the first picture is not a *real* wedding...

If you are looking for silk flowers, mine are from a seller on etsy they are about 10" across and cost $25 each. For:
1 Bride bouquet -- $69.99
4 Bridesmaid bouquets ---$32 each
1 toss bouquet --- $40
1 Groom Bout - $6
3 Groomsman Bouts - $4 each
2 Bouts for dads - $6 each
2 Mom coursages - $8 each
3 grandmother coursages - $8 each
3 grandfather bouts -
Total $307.99. Package discount: 20% OFF, so the final package price is $246 plus shipping.
Alot cheaper than buying real flowers, and I love the fact that you can keep them forever, no dead flowers two days after the wedding. Hope that helps ya :)
I have seen a very cool one that the bride made herself using buttons. Very clever and it loked beautiful. Will see if I can find a pic.
I'm having trouble uploading the pics but if you google button bouquet in google images, heaps come up. I think they're cool.
I'm hoping for something like this for my BMs...these are dahlias (not this color for mine though). You could probably do something inexpensive with gerber daisies too.

@milesbella: I love those! I'm using billy balls in my flowers too :)
is it a possibility for you to order in bulk??? I ordered my flowers through Sams Club and was able to get around 300 stems of roses and mini lillies for about $200
@ruby.cosmo: yeah, I thought of that. But I'm not sure if I want to deal with putting the flowers together the day before/of... Was it easy for you?
It cost $250 for 6 BM bouquets. These are calla lillies and an herb from Isreal that smells like black tea.... forget the name of it!
@Miss Pizzelle: How cool is that...I've never seen anyting like it!
great thread OP. I am having the same dilema. Just cant justify spending $$$ on flowers that will die in a few hours. I am in the process of diy-ing my paper bouquet. It really isnt too much work, VERY inexpensive, and quite lovely.
I got my inspiration from another bee on this thread:
http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/show-me-the-best-diy-you-have-ever-seen
We'll see how mine turn out. If they dont work, I am thinking of doing single stems for my girls. Not sure I want to assemble bouquets the day before my wedding, although Sam's Club prices are tempting...
check out what you can do with baby's breath or carnations! Both are very inexpensive and while they "sound" underwhelming, the product is really quite beautiful! For 20$ of baby's breath I am doing three bouqets, bouts, and aisle decoration!
good luck!
I'm in MD and we are doing hydrangeas for the BM's- $50 for each bouquet.
@Mrs. Cooper: Hi! Are you using a florist? If so, which one?
This is my toss bouquet, and my "real" bouquet will be just a bit bigger, still with one brooch.

@mwitter80: I love those bouquets... so simple and elegant!
I'm doing small bouquets of silk flowers, though I can't post pics right now (still on camera at home), because I couldn't justify the cost of a bouquet that will be wilting by the end of the day. I mostly did Michael's + coupons and the bridesmaids will be carrying a small bunch of blooming white roses bound by light blue ribbon (our colors are blues). I ordered my bouquet from aFloral.com, a small blue and white mix of flowers (don't ask me what they are, I know daisies, roses, and lilies and that's about it!). I added some "pearls" into it. I couldn't see that aFloral was any better than what I got a Michaels.
My MOH is getting a real touch white calla lily corsage, because she is also our photographer (it'll work, I swear. She has a wingman for the shots she needs to be in and it gives her something to do so she's not self-conscious).
Altough I love to brag to the FI about how much I've saved us, I'm a little self-conscious of how small bouquet is compared to the average bride. I know if I said I wanted real and bigger, FI would do it in a heartbeat. I think about holding a heavy bouquet and go ... nah!

So I almost fell out when I saw my florist quote the other day. Now I'm brainstorming on all the options possible to bring the cost down. I know that there are many factors to the over all cost of flowers (i.e. in season, easily attainable, etc.) no matter how small or big the bouquet may be. Besides making fabric flowers, I thought of smaller bouquets.
Did you have a small bouquet for you and your girls? Did you do single or a few flowers? Would you mind sharing pics? Pretty please...with sugar on top ;)
