well atleast ur dress has straps!! the best push up bras are by wWonderbra! . but so far its hard to find a good push up that is strapless and thats what i will need!
I made post about the same thing a few days ago and I even changed my avi as a inspiration to get bigger boobs by my wedding date. most people are saying to sew in cups or wear a water bra.
@pat291: Yeah, I wish it were as easy as sewing in cups! My dress just doesn't fit that closely though, and I'm afraid I would fall out. Actually, there ARE cups in the dress, the seamstress who made it put them in, but they don't really give me any shape or anything. I want some boobage to show in that beautiful v-neck. :)
my sister has this bra that is suppose to add two cup sizes to your size. My sister LOVES this bra. It's worth a try. I tried one, and it made me look too big. You should tried it.
try this one from Victoria's Secret.
i don't usually like very thick padded bras, but i bought this one in case i want to use it for the wedding. i had to go to 3 different VS stores to find it in my size because, according to the sales ladies, this is one of their most popular bras!
@ashroehrs: & @TingTing: Hey, you guys recommended the same bra! I may go try that one on... certainly looks like a winner! I feel like I always wish for padding when I go strapless anyway, because nothing strapless stays up on my itty bitty titties, so I might even have use for it post-wedding!
@bells: I just spent a while searching wonderbras and didn't really find anything that jumped out at me. Do you wear them? Which styles do you like?
run, don't walk to Kohl's and GET THIS BRA!
try it on there, you'll see what i'm talking about..lol!
@bind9449: I'll have to hit Kohls too when I go to the mall for VSecret. :) I certainly like the price tag on that one more!
I use a NuBra (aka the chicken cutlets). I am a 32A and I put the NuBra on then my padded bra over it. I know, it's depressing...but basically it's super adhesive (but not irritating) you put one on each boob, then you clip them together, squishing your boobs together (kinda like if you took your boobs and smooshed them together to make fake cleavage lol). If you wear it alone, then they look kinda funny because there's no boob left on the side, so that's why I wear a padded bra over it to keep the "form." I like them, I've had the same pair for about 4 years (but only wear when I dress up, which on Maui isn't very often). You just clean with soap and water at the end of the night and let them air dry. They don't unstick later on but IF they do, at least you have the padded bra to catch them and prevent them from falling to the ground (God forbid!).
Here's the website, but I bot them from a little boutique. http://www.nubra.com/NuBra_PU.htm
@Okole Maluna: I have a NuBra, and love it - I've never managed to get cleave out of it though! Also, it sits high on my chest, and I'm pretty sure it would show in the v neck of my dress.
How exactly do you wear yours to get cleavage? (I know it's hard to describe, haha)
@daydreamwanderer: i have now THREE miraculous bra and one of them is the multiway that i'm wearing under my gown. i would never go with anything else. the price is great for how much wear you get out of it! good luck. :)
La Senza just came out with a new 'double push-up' bras. I was in the store the other day to see them. They are amazing, lots of colours and styles too! The website is lasenza.com
I've heard the one from VS that was recommended above is AMAZING. I've know several people that have one, and they all say it's the best push-up bra ever!
Ok, it sounds weird, but bare with me. I actually clip the two together already, then I use the antibacteria hand stuff and clean my chest off with it. Grab your left boob with your left hand and from the side, push it toward the center of your chest. It looks weird, but go with it (you're doing it right if you can see cleavage under your left fingers, but there's barely any boob under the left palm) Take the left cutlet in your right hand and stick it on there while continuing to pull the boob toward the center. Once it's on keep your left hand pressed over the cutlet and pushed over boob. Now take the right cutlet in your right hand (with left hand still holding the other cutlet in place) and stick the right cutlet as far to the right side as you can. To put it on, I kind of cup the cutlet in my palm, sticky side up then reach to the side of the right boob and do a combo move that involves sticking the cutlet on while pushing the right boob toward the center of my chest. now you can let go of the left cutlet. don't worry if things arent' straight or even, cause at least the damn thing is now on your body. Make your adjustments by pulling each boob to the center (one at a time) then readjusting where the cutlet is attached. If your boobs are small like mine, the areola may be peeking over the edge of the cutlet, but don't worry, because that part won't be seen since your dress (and padded bra if you so choose) will be covering it up. It's almost like the more tension there is on the clip that holds each cutlet together, the better. I'm debating taking step by step pics for you (perhaps after a glass of cabernet). Let me know if that helps.
Ok I actually took pictures of some of the confusing steps (my sweet FI walked in on me in the middle of this and shook his head and walked out lol). PM me your email address and I'll send you the pics so that I can spare the rest of the hive my porn pics lol (nipplage is covered as is any identifying marks on my body :) )
See? To all you bigger busted ladies--us A cups have our OWN share of boob problems too!
@Okole Maluna: haha.... amazing.
Sure, send me pics! I'll PM you my email address :)
If the other VS recommendations don't pan out, check out the PINK line while you are in the store. I find that bras marketed toward teenaged girls are the best for enhancing clevage. Particuarly there is one that wears like a T-shirt bra but is padded a lot on the bottom to push up your natural clevage and then also in the front, I think it is this one: http://www.victoriassecret.com/ss/Satellite?ProductID=1265273708926&c=Page&cid=1265277455830&collAssetType=LBIProductSet&pagename=vsdWrapper but if so, it has actually come down in price (I guess the last time I bought it was in 2008 then I decided I needed to venture out to other bras since I owned 4 and no wonder why I only have 2 left and they are falling apart). It's affordable and gives a good shape, I often find some push up bras create awkard silouettes and kind of make a pointy boob.
@slicey19: Thanks! I'm thinking I need to hit up VSecret in the near future and just try on every push up they make in my size :)
I'm so glad to know I'm not the only small busted lady on WB! Sometimes I feel like there are so many threads about finding a bra to reign the girls in, and I feel like I have nothing to contribute, haha...
My sister has this one, she's a 32A and it manages to give her cleavage, so it would probably work for you too!
Go to a bra store - that's their thing and they'll have selection and know their stock, just like going to a bridal salon where they know their dresses. I did that before having cups sewn in. The sales lady was nice and helpful, if a bit pushy. I don't want extra cleavage, especially the way my dress is designed, but that's definitely what the sales lady was going for and doing a great job at.
I recommend the NuBra also. They have some padded, some super padded, and some not at all padded. I've had mine for a few years now, it comes in useful when I attend weddings (as a guest). I wonder if you would even need a bra over the "cutlets" [LOL @Okole Maluna] since your gown has cups sewn in already. Maybe you could get some of that fashion tape to keep the dress against the cutlets.
I quickly Googled "nubra" and came up with two main websites (nubra.com & nubra.net), but I'm not sure which is the "real" website. So if you decide to purchase it, I would go through the manufacturer's website (http://www.bragel.com/products/nubra.php) or even Amazon.
@BayStateBride: I own a (non padded) NuBra already, so I'm going to play with it later today and see what I can get for cleavage :)
I just bought the VS miraculous bra for my wedding dress and it really does deliver. It's not too heavy, and the padding essentially bumped me from a small B to a definite C. Pretty comfortable too. The only thing it didn't do was significantly increase the amount of cleavage, it doesn't really push together, just push up and out. If you end up buying it, try and find a coupon cause it's usually around $54.
This might sound crazy, but here's what I'm doing. I'm a 32D and they're very "perky". Which is normally very good, but without a bra it's tough to have cleavage because they naturally stand up and apart rather than together.
I had cups sewn in my dress, which gave some nice fullness, but not the cleavage I could get from my normal non-padded push up bra. So, I found a tutorial on weddingwire of all places on how to use athletic tape to get the cleavage. Well, I tried it, and it works great! And I wore it all day through exercise and sweat and everything to make sure it holds up. So the combination of the athletic tape for cleavage plus the sewn in cups for volume looks great. And, believe it or not, it does look natural too since I can achieve the same look with my basic bra, which, unfortunately, my dress does not accommodate.
Here is the link to the tutorial thread I saw:

@walkunafraid: woah, that photo is pretty crazy! Smart and cheap though...
@Emma_bee: Any tips on where to find coupons? VSecret is usually out of my budget except during their semiannual sale, but there won't be one of those in the next seven weeks!
If you sign up for their emails, VS is frequently sending out coupons. There is usually something every week.

I need a push up bra for the wedding. I wear a size 36A, which is ridiculous. I hate looking for bras. Normally I just wear tshirt bras, because they're comfy. But with the vneck dress, I'd like a little cleavage, or at least ... SOMETHING! I'd like to look like a C cup, haha... or at least a B!
So I'm looking for a SERIOUS push up, haha. Here's the neck of my dress (yes, post alterations), and no, we can't put cups in, because I'm opting for my dress NOT to be skin tight. I am all about comfort, haha. Okay, the dress:
See the lack of boobage? Fortunately, I can pull off normal straps (with a little fabric adhesive to keep them in place, just in case), and most bras should be low enough cut to not show, right? The back, just in case. :) As you can see, I'm wearing a normal tshirt bra in this picture.
So what can you recommend for push up bras? Or, I guess, inserts for my normal tshirt bra?
