If it makes you feel any better, I'm using a buttload of different fonts and it looks awesome. Go for what you like! I think yours looks great. :)
I don't think there is a right or wrong way when it comes to small caps. I've seen both. Our stationer uses both judging from the website. Most of the time when I see the small caps with a "capitalized small cap" it's either the first word in a line (I don't want to say sentence here since wedding invites don't really have sentences) or for proper nouns. Do what you think looks best!

It's definitely OK to use large and small caps together. I mixed in italics and regular lowercase from the same typeface as well ... whatever looks good.

When you use small caps are you allowed to use capital letters? Like in December? and Mr. and Mrs.? because I thought small caps fonts all letters were supposd to be the same size.
