ugh…i have googled and googled, and i can’t find the answer. it seems like if you want to have your reception in a state park, you have to get a special use permit…
i only want to have my ceremony…which will be 20 people max…no chairs. 15-20 minute deal…
has anyone done this? do i need anything other than a license? i don’t want to reserve the space or anything…
you’d think as a former wedding professional in that area i’d know, but i never did a ceremony there!

@cateyes: I got married at Rocky Butte and it is a sate park. You just call them up and reserve the park. That is what I did. I think total it was $280.00 for 2 hours. That was everything.

@SnowBunny420: thanks for the response! i’m leaning toward just risking it. i want to have a, like, 10 minute ceremony. no chairs, no decorations…just 25 people standing there for a few minutes.

@cateyes: I had no chairs. Rocky butte won’t let you. If you pouch on state park, you risk huge fines. Does not matter how many people. You must pay for your venue especially a state park, they need that money and you going and not paying is unfair to everyone else who does. They need that money to do up keep on the parks, hence why it is a sate park and they charge for weddings.
Good luck but do follow rules.
