We had a pretty small destination wedding with about 35 people.  Your list is great. We didn’t have a videoagrapher but you always could if you wanted to. Our guests really loved the wish lanterns we did at the end!  They were so much fun and very prettty when they light up the sky at night! Here’s a non-pro pic:

I’m having a destination wedding with 24 people total and am getting a videographer with a “ceremony only” package. I think you should consider it because of the great number of extended family you have. When I told people we are using video, it eased the sting a bit of not being invited. If you are planning on having something when you return home to celebrate, you could play the video then.

I also think having dinner music play could enhance the experience.

Also jealous about the lanterns- I wanted them but are a deemed a fire hazard so I’m doing sparklers instead.

Depends on what their package offers…

mine is just the ceremony as it happened, with the actual music we will use. Many videographers also produce a “Highlights” piece that has background music or your music interspersed throughout the clips.

Your photographer may also provide those services, or can recommend someone they’ve worked with in the past.

we r having a zip line activity for all the guests on the day before, a ‘rehearsal dinner’ the night before at a restuarant in the little island main town. so u might think about a group activity other than the next day brunch. i didnt read in your list about an officiant, but im sure u have that already under control. marriage licensing completed? we r having day-of favors like fans in the chairs. r u doing a trash the dress session?

@jmlw7:  thanks! i hope it is really fun for our guests. i think its fine to give the guests plenty of time to explore on their own. we r giving them a couple days before wedding activities start taking place to do anything they like, and then of course after we go to a different island for our honeymoon, they can stay as long as they want. i also am not doing a trash the dress. well i might take next-day photos, but im like u- i do NOT want to ruin my dress! i think u should take any photo op u can get, but it just depends on how much time and funds u have to allow for ‘extras’ like that.
