- Wedding: October 2013
Hi hive – We are having a very small intimate destination wedding in Bermuda in October and are only having 10 guests (immediate family) join. As our extended friends and family is enormous – over 300+ people, we figured it would be best to “share” through photos.
Since our wedding, ceremony, and dinner will be so small, we can afford to be lavish and extravagant. What are some items that we should/should not include to make sure our day is as special as a big huge wedding would be – and we wont regret leaving out – but will also reflect incredibly beautifully in photos for everyone to see? We are paying for everything except airfare for the guests.
Here is what we have thus far – Our wedding colors are peach/tangerine/persimmon with shades of light green, gray and white:
-Gorgeous resort rooms
-Welcome bags for each of the 10 guests (monogrammed totes for women, duffles for men), stuffed with beach towels (as we are on the beach), water, maybe a monogrammed robe
-Professional hair and makeup
-A gorgeous MS gown (already bought!) 😉
-BM dresses bought!
-Florist to make a huge bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquet (there are only 2), boutonnieres (for the groom and his dad-his best man, and the little ring bearer), and mother corsages
-Ceremony on a deck on the beach with organza draped arch
-Music will be cellist and violinist for ceremony
-Photographer for pre-ceremony, ceremony and post ceremony photos – will conclude at dinner since we are not having a reception although he will take photos of the cake
-2 tiered wedding cake with matching flowers
-A round dinner table to seat 10 people, centerpieces will be my bouquets and the two bridesmaids bouquets with small single flower vases clustered around it with flower petals
-Lit chinese lanterns hanging over our dinner table
-High end picture frames at each place setting with their name in the frame and “Bermuda 2013” as their favors
-Jewelry and a clutch for the bridesmaids gifts
-a gift for the best man and ringbearer (not sure what yet)
-a gift for the moms and grandma (not sure what yet)
-Possibly a brunch the next day
We arent having a videographer, but maybe we should consider it? Should we consider soft music in the private room? Its’ just a dinner and there wont be dancing or DJ or anything. Are we leaving anything out? Ceremony decorations, etc? I feel like we covered everything but you never know!
