@laceydoilies:  I have the same size feet you do! Mine are kind of wide, so sometimes I can wear bigger sizes, but more and more lately I’m finding that stores don’t carry sizes smaller than 6 or 7, which drives me crazy (especially when the smallest is a 7!!).

I’ve been having good luck finding shoes I like the look of on Zappos, then searching for them on Amazon, which usually has smaller and more diverse sizes. I got my hiking shoes and my newest dress shoes from Amazon, either the company itself or sellers on there.

One of my roommates has even smaller feet than I do, and she often buys kids’ shoes, but I can’t bring myself to do that. I think they look terrible. But it does seem like she finds decent women’s shoes in small sizes at Target sometimes.

@laceydoilies:  The local outdoor wear store’s smallest stock size is 7. I was so annoyed when I went there in my quest for good hiking shoes and discovered that I wouldn’t even be able to try on the shoes, they were so much bigger than my size!

I’ve found that most small shoe shops do at least carry size 6, which in some brands is like a 5.5. And they are usually willing to order in smaller sizes, but sometimes you get stuck paying the shipping. :/

I definitely don’t recommend buying shoes online from anywhere without a good return policy, though, because shoes vary in size and fit so very much.
