I didn’t exactly know how to word it lol I have been a lurker for a little while and finally decided to make an account. I recently got engaged and originally we planned to get married in about 2 or 3 years, but he wants to do it sooner (next December) and have it be a tad smaller than what was originally planned. He said maybe Las Vegas and we can invite just immediate family and then have a bigger ceremony later. My only issue is that I have a very large immediate family whereas he only has around 4 or 5 people. My parents aren’t together so I have siblings from both (3 from my mom & 6 from my dad) then I also have my god family who raised me for 12 years, there are more than 6 people on that side. Then I also know my grandmothers (Maternal grandma & my grandfather’s 2nd wife) don’t want to miss it either then that would mean my aunt who is married with 2 kids and my uncle.
I looked into some Vegas packages and feel like I would be better off having a wedding that we originally planned just by looking at some of the prices.
I guess my question is, would there be any way I can have the wedding I want without having to go to do it his way? He’s very involved in this process, which I love, but I am not sure if I like his idea. I’m not trying to invite everyone I met in my lifetime, but there are people that I don’t want to exclude from my ceremony.
