So I myself will be married next year, but in 2.5 weeks I will be a bridesmaid in a friend’s wedding. We ordered our dresses in June. I went to a local bridal salon and got measured, and when I gave them my measurements over the phone there were several long pauses and I was put on hold as they discovered that my measurements were too big for the largest size. They ordered me the largest size with an offer to get more fabric if it didn’t fit.
Fast forward to this past weekend when I picked up my dress from the bride. I tried it on and it was too big! I’m going to have to have it seriously altered! You can pull it off without unzipping it! I’ve lost close to 30 lbs since I was measured (started weight loss on August 21st).
Just wanted to share! I will still be the largest bridesmaid (and I still have a long way to go), but thank goodness for small victories!

@aggiemae: GREAT news! Every victory is big, especially this one because we call it a non-scale victory, which are the best!

@aggiemae: August 21… This past August??
GREAT for you, but how did you manage to lose a lb a day…?

@O.My.Heart: It’s October 22 today! It’s still very rapid weight loss but not a pound a day.

@julies1949: Oh yeah, I skipped September, LOL.

If you have a large amount of weight to lose, 30lbs in two months isn’t outrageous.
and way to go OP!

@aggiemae: Congrats!! I also recently hit the 30 lb mark (much slower than you though, you go girl) and still have so much further to go, but you are right, it is absolutely worth celebrating! Keep up the great work!
