I think it's totally fine, you're giving your guests options. We're inviting 130 (probably clocking in closer to 100) and registered at BB&B and C&B.
That is about the size of my guest list. I registered at two places. It's nice to have variety and some guests may not have close access to a specific store.
Thats about the same size as ours and we're registered at Amazon and BB&B, I think it's appropriate. It gives your guests who want to give you a gift some variety.
I invited 111 people and we are expecting 83, I think. We have THREE registries. You want to give people variety. Almost everyone is buying from Macys, but I would be taken aback if I went to buy a gift and there was only one registry to choose from.
I think two is fine and normal; I wouldn't register for 500 things on each, though ;)
I think that's very appropriate. We're having about 150 people and we're registering at BB&B, Crate & Barrel, and Amazon. The lady helping us at BB&B the other day was saying to register for about twice as many things as you have guests -- BUT a can opener doesn't count as one thing. All the small stuff kinda gets lumped together, I guess.
(PS Isn't registering so exhausting? I don't know what I need! My mom came with us the other day and did a lot of it for us, thankfully!)
We had an even smaller wedding...like 25 people. But friends still bought off of it that weren't attending. And now that we've sent out announcments more is being bought. I did BBB and Macy's. Very little at Macys and actually went back and added a few things because that's where most people are buying from.
So totally fine.
Our wedding will have 32 guests at most. I thought having two would bee too much but everyone said at least two. It gives people (and us!) options. I also felt bit awkward registering for larger items (we haven't gone over the $200 mark...yet) but guests can always go in on a gift.

Our wedding is going to be about 75 - 80 guests, so we're going to be on the small/medium side. Would registering at two places be excessive for this size of a wedding? My FI and I are registering at Bed Bath and Beyond, but were also thinking about Kohl's for more home-type gifts. I am not forseeing having a shower - no one has approached me about it yet - so all I am planning is wedding gifts.
Thoughts?
