Hi Bees – So I am trying to think about some (inexpensive) snack ideas for the girls and guys while we’re getting ready, but cant think of anything good. We will probably all meet in the hotel by 11am, and I think most girls will have eaten bfast by then, so bagels, muffins etc might be out. What else can we have aroiund the hotel room to munch on that is lunch “appropriate”? Obviously nothing too messy…
Any suggestions? What have you married bees or former bridal party members snack on while getting ready?

I am thinking of just ordering a pizza or sandwiches for my suite. We won’t be getting into our dresses until the last minute so messiness isn’t really a factor.
How about pasta salads? Cookies?

I think a fruit platter/ fruit salads would be good. I also think mini muffins would be a good idea, as that is still breakfast time and the carbs might help people keep their energy up.

We had small sandwiches with sauce on the side and a pasta salad w/ a thicker sauce.

I went to BJs and got muffins, veggie/fruit platter, danishes, cornbread, and fruit drinks. And champagne.

I am having finger type food. Fruit, mini muffins, juice, etc. Nothing drippy or messy. But enough for those who may be too nervous for breakfast and need some nourishment! No fainting!

@ MissNachoLover: I dont know why I didnt think about pizza, seems like an inexpensive crowd-pleaser, and its true, we probably wont be getting in our dresses until long after we’ve eaten.

My girls and I are all staying together in a hotel suite the night before…I’m going to take them all for brunch the day of, and then we’ll have champagne and fruit at the hair salon…our wedding isn’t until 6pm, so I’m trying to come up with a snack, but a lot of of the girls (me included) have food restrictions, so I’m not too sure yet….

I feel like ALL foods make me bloated, so I don’t really know what I’ll be able to eat while getting ready … assuming that I actually want be able to fit into my dress.
I’ll probably have some sandwiches and fruit on hand for the other girls though. I haven’t really given it much thought yet, so I’m not really sure.

I also vote for fruit and veggies. Also a nice trail mix with some granola in it should help to hold them over until cocktail hour.

Personally I would feel kind of gross after eating pizza and wouldn’t want to slap on a bridesmaids dress after that. Might just be me though!

We tossed some crackers, a cheese tray, and some italian meat slices in the cooler. The salty tasted good on such a hot day when we were chugging bottles of water. 🙂

@Natalieh86: Yeah it does make you sluggish.I would be petrified of getting some sauce/cheese in my hair, makeup, dress, nails, etc too!
