It just started here... I looked outside an hour ago, it was fine, now its snowing sideways! YIKES!
Yes, I heard winds are supposed to be 60mph+ on TOP of the 12 inches we're supposed to get overnight! :( IM SO SICK OF WINTER!!!!
SNOMG - HORRIBLE here. We have well over a foot of snow, and it is supposed to continue all night. Most all businesses are closed, and both highways have shut down too. It's really, really bad.
Yea it started last night in a lot of areas. They started salting and plowing after the evening rush hour yesterday. My FH got in an accident last night (he's okay thank god!!!) and he was only going 15mph! UGH I HATE WINTER.

Blizzard closes I-70 from St. Louis to Kansas City
Heavy snow and whiteout conditions have closed Interstate 70 across the entire state. MoDOT said this would help keep motorists from becoming stranded on the highway. The agency continues to plow as conditions allow
Tomorrow is another day of "essential personnel only" (which doesn't include me) where I work.
And the dogs don't want to walk through the snow! 2 of them tried to venture out, they didn't get far:

It's pretty bad here. The snow is still falling (and blowing) and we have waist-high snow drifts. Many business are closed and we are in a "state of emergency". Thank goodness FI gets to work from home today and tomorrow and I get snow days! We have been sipping on hot chocolate and watching the snow fall and watching people try to drive up the hill by our house.

Wow, I've never seen the interstate closed this far east! They close it in western KS (out by Hays) frequently, but I've never seen it closed out here since I've moved to KC!
It started in with ice last night here and then the ice/snow mix started in again this evening. Luckily I don't have to go out in it! Our power has been flickering all day - fingers crossed it stays!
It just started up here in Southwestern Ontario!
But it is going sideways right now!
The winds are crazy - I took the dog for a walk a few hours ago and the wind was painful it was so strong and cold!
We got enough that our county declared a state of emergency. I got sent home from work at noon today but highly doubt I'll be out again tomorrow. We have a contract with SRS, if they're open, we're open, so we'll see. A girl can dream though, right? My hub will be home from school and I'd love another day of snuggling on the couch with the puppies!!!
@abbyful: Our yellow lab was in HEAVEN but we have a 10lb terrier and the snow was above him, we had to clear a path so he could potty!
36 inches before the white shit stops on Thursday. I consider this my own personal hell.
storm has been here! my school district had a snow day today and I'm hoping to be off tomorrow too! hooray!

has the storms hit you yet? we still haven't yet... but i hear it'll be here soon! i'm stuck in class, but tomorrow i'll be working from home and class is cancelled tom night! WOOT WOOT. AND THURSDAY is my regular work from home day! :)
