Any midwest bees have a snow day tomorrow? Ours is more due to the wind chill (I’m a teacher). What are you going to do with your extra day of freedom? Or, if you had a *suprise* day off, what would you do?
I’m going to sleep sleep sleep!!!:)

I live in Nebraska and schools are closed tomorrow due to windchill. I’m a Kindergarten teacher and I will be finishing up report cards and relaxing. Yay!

I work at an opera company and we are closing tomorrow!!! I think it’s the 2nd time in the 50+ year history of the company. Ours is a wind chill thing too. (And transportation and the fact that schools are all closed).

@ms_margarita: here (Chicago) all of the schools are closed. I will be working from home ( I work for a global company so just because my office is closed the rest of the world isnt!) I don’t mind working from home at all though so I am still very happy!
My boss thankfully called me Saturday and was like..”can you please work from home” haha 🙂 Im just happy I don;t have to physically go anywhere!
My poor FI tho is working tonight and all day tomorrow ( he’s a cop ). So i feel for all the cops/firemen/doctors/nurses/starbucks workers ect! Thank you all for working!

You bet! I’m a MN teacher – it’s going to be -60 windchill tomorrow… I’m hoping to get a lot of things done around the house (cleaning and organizing) and get caught up with my school to-do list!
Plus, the sleeping in and lounging around in my pajamas won’t be awful either. 🙂

The straight up high without windchill is -12 tomorrow…the high! Sigh, my university as of now is still open so I still have to go to work *grumble grumble* I walk to work too :/ I’m strongly considering skipping.

Yep! I work at a university in Chicago and we are closed tomorrow. I was silly and offered to do work from home before the closure, so I’m not sure if I still need to do that or not… Oh well, at least I don’t have to go outside!

@monique1218: I’m here too. It’s so cold we blew one of our trunk electrical lines coming into the house. Thank goodness for oppd coming to my rescue. Our kids are still on break til Tuesday, hopefully the wind will die down enough they will be able to go.
My son is trapped in Chicago because of the weather. He was there for a animecon and is stuck there til Tuesday at the earliest. One of his friends tried to make it back to Minneapolis and totalled her car. She’s OK but shaken. My son opened his room up to a bunch of kids also trapped. He said he’s got 15 kids staying in his room tonight. Good thing management was nice and gave them the OK, of course they don’t want those kids out on the road either, I’m sure.

It’s supposed to get down to -50F here tomorrow with the wind chill. Unfortunately our work doesn’t give snow days! lol
