I want to say it would be neat, but I think I would be wondering why the heck there were snowflakes.  Sorry ๐Ÿ™

Honestly I would be a little confused.

But hey, it’s your event I say do what you want as long as it makes you happy.

Is there any specific reason you want your wedding in May and not a more “winterish” month?

i think it could be really pretty, like that scene at the end of nanny mcphee where it magically starts snowing in summer. it may be unusual, but i still think you could pull it off with the right touches. a frosty springtime for some reason doesn’t sound too out of the ordinary to me.

I think you could pull it off if it isn’t too “in your face”, like if you used the snowflakes as little details and not have huge ones hanging off the ceiling, you know?

Ps – I’d LOVE to see your snowflake ring!!!!!!!!!

How would you represent the snowflakes, i.e., what medium would you be planning to use to create them?

I think it all depends on how you execute it.

I can picture in my head a gorgeous pink and white wedding with white tablecloths and cherry blossoms that look “snowy” <– ya know, glazed? and frosted glass to hold the cherry blossoms. A very ethereal thing. I’m terrible at descriptions.

So…in my head, it works? Lol

ETA: I also want to see your ring!

@AmeliaBedelia: exactly what i was thinking! like a frosted, fairy tale feel… kind of heavenly.

I would be confused too. To me, that’s kind of like going to a December wedding and walking in to see pumpkins and leaves everywhere. It just would throw me off.

BUT if you love the idea, go for it. The wedding is about you and what you want.
