Okay so I live in an area that never gets snow. Well, we’re having a “snow storm”. I go to college online and I live in a house with 4 school aged kids. They have been home since last week due to this nonsense and the libraries have been closing way early (like 2pm) and are closed the next 2 days! So here I am at 11pm just starting homework because everyone is finally asleep…
Please tell me you south eastern bees are feeling the same way! I like snow, but not when my whole city shuts down!

I feel you. I’m in Atlanta and it’s like the apocolypse outside right now. DH works 6 miles away and has been sitting in his car for SEVEN HOURS trying to get home. It’s 11pm and the streets are gridlocked with traffic and have been since 1pm.

@MrsBot: omg! That’s terrible! I hope he makes it home safe!!! My sister and I went on an adventure earlier to Mcdonalds. It’s less than a mile away but that was a bad idea Haha. I live in Virginia Beach… We legit get snow once every 2 years haha.

I’m in Birmingham, Alabama and it has been madness here today. I can’t really commiserate about studying, but I’ll rant too 🙂 it took me 3.5 hours to go 6 miles that normally take me 15 minutes trying to get home. We have hundreds if not a couple thousand people stranded in their cars, random buildings, kids stuck in schools. It’s not that it snowed that much, but it dropped rapidly and turned icy. We don’t have the equipment to deal with this kind of weather. Not to mention people aren’t used to driving in the conditions. Roads and interstates look like the scenes from The Walking Dead out there!!

@ToTheRiot: I’m a northern so snow/winter is not a big deal for me (though this year has been straight up RIDICULOUS!), however I have a good friend in ATL and she basically feels the same as you. I can imagine how difficult it is when cities who do not know how to handle a ton of snow and ice, get this kind of weather. I can just picture what the streets look like.
Schools here were closed yesterday and today because of the ridiculously cold and dangerous below freezing temperatures.
@MrsBot: Yikes! Hope he gets home soon, and safe.

I’m from Texas. So cold is not our friend. Friday and today were cancelled in the k-12 schools, I work at a hospital so no snow day for me. 🙁 It isn’t that bad, especially today! Friday there was a layer of ice from the sleet then a couple inches of snow and people don’t know how to drive in it, that was bad.

I would actually love some snow. It’s snowing everywhere but where I live and it’s just raining a lot. They closed all of the roads here at 6 pm. I was out in it around 3 and even with the rain and the potential for snow had everyone going crazy. The Walmart has closed down in one of our towns at that’s something that never happens.
I know we just aren’t equipped to hand,e it, but if I have to be stuck in my house all day I’d like some snow to play in thanks.
