We got the 2 ft of snow, no power and 2 hours of shoveling on Saturday then my DH jetted off to California for work for the week! (I know!!) I'm a grad student at Pitt and we were closed today and are again tomorrow. I'm glad cause I commute and know I won't be able to find a place to park! My supervisor at St Margaret's hospital called to say she's already moved Wednesday's patients to Friday so I don't have to come in.
Here's some pics!
The first one is during the storm on Friday night. No one was in the street except me, taking a picture! DH is being creepy in the doorway. The second one is our neighborhood at 8:30 the next morning...
i hope this isn't what we're supposed to be getting tomorrow! :'( 10 inch+ is what they said... hoepfully they're wrong, we've been lucky this winter!!
missjyc... this ended up being about 24 inches (and we're supposed to get 6-10 more over the next 2 days). This storm was weird cause it missed the typical spots like Michigan and New York and went way south!
im going stir crazy - its been over 2 feet of snow already and we are expecting more. itw ould be fine if i could leave the house! ugh.
Holy Cow Jeni Rae! Love your snow pics. Anyone else have crazy snow pics? I love them since we rarely have snow.

wow these snow pics are leaving my speechless!!! i've seen no more than 3 inches (ish?) in person, my entire life!! the picnic table one and neighborhood shot are awesome!! :o)
and heres my fav - whats the point in cleaning off the car? its not moving....
I was in Pittsburgh at my mom's house. We got 24 inches there and the power went off. Mom and I got dressed in snow gear and backpacks and walked an hour to my brothers' to have heat! Power came back on the next day but we spent 3 hours shoveling. Came back home to Maryland on Sunday to 35 inches of snow and had to shovel AGAIN! EEK!
